............... You dont remember his post game comments a few years ago that angered Tim Brown and other veterans?
What's w/ all the Tony wise bashing? it's his fault they have very little talent on the OL? the OL was good a year ago when surprisingly we had more talent.
Man, what messed up world were you living in if you thought last year's OL was good?? It sucked. It's easy to forget that because this year's sucked more, but last year was not a good OL year for the Jets.
Tony Wise sucked with the Jets and sucked with the Dolphins. His whole career is plastered with the word "suck".
Ummmmm, that despite the fact that he had six guys roaming around the roster, he couldn't coach one of them up to be even a subpar left guard..... Clement...Is what he is a big 10 year vet, on the way out....no real coaching needed. Brandon Moore...Is what he is an average guard, and he worked to get there...some coaching needed. Mangold, DBustashaw....Talented players that require some coaching... Vacant Left guard position....6 Bodies, you need to find one YOU CAN COACH to be a player... Position coaches don't get hired because you spend high draft picks on players, they get hired by what they do with guys like Clarke,Bender, Oldenburg etc....
What position are they offering him? Or did he just come for a vist? Nevermind....Oline coach, me likes.
We need to put aside Callahan's failings as a Head Coach with the Raiders and Nebraska. If you are looking for a top notch offensive line coach or running game coordinator then he has the credentials and success to do the job. Some guys are not cut out to be Head Coaches, but can be top notch assistants...Callahan may be one of those guys...
And one of Mangini's early mistakes was in not bringing in men with greater experience than his own...This starts to correct that...
