The Jets HAVE good talent evaluators in their organization. They have one of the best scouting departments in the NFL. The problem has been decisions the GM has made whether based on trading away draft picks or listening to head coaches over the personnel department. -The scouting Dept liked Freeman over Sanchez.Rex wanted Sanchez -The scouting Dept liked Mckelvin over Gholston. Mangini wanted Gholston The issue is not really evaluating talent. It's executing on the available data/opinions & constructing a well rounded team poised to win now & in the future.
Well, we may have an opportunity to have them both... if he's on the cheap. Our cap is bad right now but a few cuts and we'll in a better situation.
Get ready for Cohen or someone within to get promoted because I seriously doubt that anyone worth while will come here after I watched that press conference
Caldwell back for second interview http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/je...iew?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Michael Silver @MikeSilver To clarify: that was a strong prediction, not a report, on caldwell. Stay tuned...
Albert Breer @AlbertBreer About to head to Houston. Can say this on Atlanta's Dave Caldwell -- Both Jags and Jets are confident that they can land him. Interesting...

Just grabbed that headline while reading news online & shared it. I'd love to be wrong. Seeing the other thread on the front page that Jets might be leaning towards Cohen is making me nervous.
OK well that tweet that the article you posted has since been rescinded and reworded as a "strong prediction" rather than a fact. Has nothing to do with you being right or wrong, the original tweet was.
Conor Orr Per @MikeSilver, Dave Caldwell will be the Jaguars new GM. He was supposedly coming to interview a second time with #Jets today. Hmm. 4:06PM EST
Shocking. Why wouldn't he want to be forced to keep a head coach who has more power than him as GM. /sarcasm. Jets are a joke, a f--king circus. Jets will always be a team of f--king losers until Woody Johnson sells this team.
