thats… fair? yeah. its certainly not the end of the world, a high draft pick is a nice asset, but for the life of me I don't get the mopey mindset settling in about getting a 6 or 7 rather than a 3 or something.
And for all we know, he could end up being a top 5 QB in 3 years. I'm not saying anything about him because I don't watch college ball, but I would have liked the option for this franchise to take him if they thought he was the answer. But then again, that would be foolish to trust this franchise's decision making.
Don't complain about hard, I live in the fucking Philippines and have to get up at 2 AM every Monday morning to watch this shit show on a stream that may or may not work. I was lucky today, I got to sleep until 5 AM to watch the game.
we picked 9th a couple years ago, we ended up with dee millner. we're not that far from that, fuck this team
Who do we want to win that one? I think we lose the next two games anyway. No way in hell are we beating the Patriots at the very least.
What's sad for the "suck for the duck" fans, it doesn't matter who wins, they will still draft ahead of the Jets.
are we that insecure that we've put our hopes and dreams into tanking so bad we can draft a "Savior"? rationally, theres better odds that it'll take more than that to get positive momentum back, hell I'd sooner hold my hopes in a new coach saving everything than two college players coming out.
Does anyone know what the highest possible pick we can get is if everything goes right from here out?
Hes the main reason we need Mariota some think he could still be good. So they dont care about our draft spot
The problem is people fall in love with stats and don't look at the bigger picture. The guy plays in a gimmick offense that showcases the athletic ability of the QB. the guy that was there before was good, Darron Thomas was his name, big athletic QB played similar to Marriota, Dennis Dixon, another guy, Jeremiah Masoli. Obviously Marriota is more gifted than these guys and I root for him because I like Oregon and I generally root for all the Hawaiian kids but I don't see a guy you build around because he not only will have to learn the pro game but he'll be learning with crap around him. If there was a solid team already in place and some bad luck made us suck I'd say go for it but this team isn't one player away and I don't see Marriota as some savior. I see him as a guy who has the potential to be very good in the right spot, this would not be the right spot.
Geno was a scrub last year, scrub this year, will probably be a scrub next year he is fucking garbage what weapons will change peoples minds, Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin?
