It's not actually as bad as it looks, nutrition wise. Not calling it healthy by any means, but there are far worse menu items out there in places like Applebees or Chilis.

    Calories: 590
    Calories from fat: 280
    Total fat: 31g
    Saturated fat: 10g
    Trans fat: 0g
    Cholesterol: 190mg

I was expecting triple those numbers above when they first talked about this sandwich last year

Is that per bite or the whole thing? I have a hard time believing there's that little saturated fat in it with all that bacon, cheese, and fried material. Unless this thing is only about the size of two bites. Then I believe it.

I think there's a grilled version too -- which would work nicely if your on Atkins.

Ostrich burgers on jalapeno waffles with hollandaise sauce, spinach and sungold tomatoes. And lard.

I actually had that burger minus the lard a couple of weeks ago. It was fucking amazing. I regret that I didn't take a picture of it though.

Well, when you said lard, I was thinking mayo -- which is fine by me, since I like mayo on my burgs.

Yes, we all must vow to have a camera ready for future burg-enterprises. I'm going to need one handy next time I'm in Tha ATL, and I try to tackel this bad boi at The Vortex. . .

    SUPER-STACK HEART ATTACK BURGER
Two half-pound sirloin patties stacked inside three grilled cheese sandwiches, topped with two fried eggs,
eight slices of American cheese, ten slices of bacon, with plenty of mayo on the side. With this burger we
choose your side for you, and it’s a big bowl of fries and tots covered in our cheesy-cheese goo. 25.95

Is that the same place that the waitresses dress like nurses and check your blood pressure while you are eating?

No, But they do dress blessedly slutty.

You can get a sense of the atmosphere of the place if you check out their webpage.

    http://www.thevortexbarandgrill.com

It's one of my favorite places to go when I'm in Atlanta.

Nice, that calander has some sweet pics (and a few that are a bit savory)

Potential thread cross-over with Byz's Goth chicks thread.
