All NFL teams make season ticket holders buy the preseason games too, correct? I had them from '96-'03 and could not give those things away. I'd usually hit one of the two home games in August but that was more about reuniting with the tailgate crew and whatnot.
That would be correct. I get offered Giants and Jets preseason tickets all the time.......I always decline. I just cant see me spending my Thur,Fri or Sat driving 45 minutes to watch bad football plus pay the toll to cross the GW Bridge.
K, thanks... wasn't sure if that was some shitty thing the Patriots did to their fans or if that was universal, haha... I don't think I was able to sell a single preseason ticket for 7 straight years. And when I did go to games that were "sold out," the stadium was usually half full. Kind of a non-story IMO.
Yah seriously. The headache it takes to get in and out of Ralph Wilson Stadium is only worth it if it's an actual game. I'm not gonna go through that to see a glorified practice.
Yes they do. I had them from '91-'94 and went once. Nothing but a glorified practice. I much preferred to go to Sunset Beach during those years.
It is silly they make you pay full price for preseason when preseason winds up being 20% of your total invoice because of it. In the other sports you pay full price for preseason too, well the NHL and the NBA but the NHL only has three preseason home games among forty-four total home games, and I'm sure the NBA has a similar amount. That's less than 10% of the games so it's a little easier to stomach in those cases.
Yeah just look at the preseason ticket prices for our games. The Giant game is $40 on StubHub which isn't terrible but not anywhere near full price either, especially since the seller's only getting back $34. And the Panther game (the last preseason game, and a Sunday night to boot) is going for $3 on StubHub lol, that means people are selling hoping just to get $2.50 back on a $50+ ticket. If it wasn't for the fact it IS on a Sunday night I'd be tempted to go to the last preseason game and take a glorified tour of the stadium since I haven't been there yet, though with fees a single ticket is closer to $15.
That's crazy... hardly seems worth the effort to get $2.50 back! NFL teams should just donate "extra" preseason tickets to Boys & Girls clubs and stuff like that. I'm sure they do, to an extent, but at least send them to someone who'll actually use and somewhat enjoy them.
