Yep, after all, everything is relative, and while there were issues early on where and how to play him, overall he's been a solid contributor, not as much as Ellis was, for example, but a thousand times better than Robertson.
Bryan Thomas should be resigned. We need veteran leaders on this team. period. even if he doesnt start, it would be great to have him.
Thomas wants to come back. In wait and see mode on whether he is in the Jets plans or not: http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2012/03/bryan_thomas_hopes_to_finish_o.html
I think resigning Bt would be wise, assuming his price tag is reasonable(IE Vet minimum). He's likely no longer a full time starter, but he's versatile and can be a great game day specific role player. I also think he could have some success on special teams.
It stems from us drafting him instead of Reed & we all know that Reed is a lock for the HOF & he could have & should have been ours, instead we got stuck with the cactus, a servicable player but NO Ed Reed. p.s. typical jets
I know there are going to be some Jets fans that get all butt hurt by me saying this but I'll pass. Decent in the run game but does the Waltz when he rushes the passer. Only reason people like him is because of what he was replaced with lol We need a pass rusher. Not a guy who gets stood up by running backs.
He should be cheap and that's why I like him. I'd hate it if Jets gave anything more thatn $1.5 mil for him. I've seen situations where players can make $4 mil, are washed up, play like washed up, and reach the SB.
