lol i think quinton coples played like 16% of the snaps yesterday. stop it with this talk about bruce irvin
Howard's been fine, Ducasse is coming into his own and Moore/Slauson 1 or both will be back. WR is a need like I said value is there late unless Justin Hunter or Keenan Allen is available in the 1st then I could wait til the 3rd. RB is high priority unless we see what Powell and McKnight can do together. Fullback is not a need but Tight End is On defense we need 2 outside linebackers as well OLB x 2 RB TE WR OL S
Anyone who thinks Howards been fine has to start opening their eyes during games. He was good week 1, but he got completely schooled the last 2 weeks. I agree that we need some speed and youth on defense, Maybin and Davis hopefully can offer some more next year. But our offense is HORRENDOUS, our defense is good
He played decent in Pitt, but Cameron Wake had a field day. His run blocking okay. His pass blocking has been better than Hunters' but that is Hunter
I can't wait to see Hunter against the Seahawks' pass rush twice lol Then again our o-line probably won't do much better, especially with ZERO threat of a running game.
Irvin with 2 sacks tonight. Chris Clemons with 4. 8 total, with a quarter to play. I bet we don't get 8 sacks over the next 4 games.
I don't mind the speculating on all the other guys accomplishing things around the league...thats fair game, and certainly maybe some of these guys would be a good pick. But we haven't even really seen Coples yet! Its crrrrazy, they have him in on like 15% of the plays for the year. He's our first rounder, he needs to play more than that to have a chance to make an impact. He should be out there at least 50% of the snaps. Not Coples fault...yet. I personally think he's a beast and given a chance he will make you smile.
Seahwaks in week 1 and 2 - 2 total sacks Tonight 9 sacks - 1 in the second half and that was on a run. Let's calm down and see them generate pressure in another game.
So you are saying Rex is the defensive genius he claims to be? Seriously though, there have to be reasons why he is barely playing (lazy perhaps). :breakdance:
who knows but he's consistently in the backfield and if we had someone to set the edge and close the pocket he would get sacks
I'm just kidding. Considering the Jets get nothing resembling a pass rush, I'm not sure why Coples can"t get more playing time. There has to be a good reason, right?
Irvin looks very good... And if the Jets drafted him, all we would have heard for the past 5 months was how terrible a value pick it was, how dumb Tannenbaum was, etc. Just goes to show you can't judge the draft before they start playing. Three games isn't close to enough either, for all I know, Irvin could end up being a huge bust still.
