Boomer Esiason was the reason why I became a Jet fan, but the comparison is not fair. Favre is coming for 2-3 years, tops. Clemens will still have a chance to play after Favre retires. I haven't completely given up on Clemens. Throughout the whole process of Favre being here, there will be talk of who is going to be his heir apparent. Boomer coming here was thought to be the long term answer.
