I'm against Ed. He's a primadonna who got elevated to celebrity status because the league decided every team had to have a fan with celebrity status. The in-stadium experience was better when he didn't have that celebrity status.
ill give you that, bc i felt the same way to a point, but hes a jet fan through and through. if he wants to come back and lead the chant i think he should and i dont have any problem joining in the chant. it is fun and its a great chant and not for nothing, but he does lead it the best. what i have a problem with is the nonsense like this that makes us look like some whiny bitch fan base in the public eye.

Seriously, why is this shameless self promotion allowed? It's clear to almost everyone this guy just craves attention. It's no different than someone posting a link to their blog because they want viewers.
As long as it's effective and directed at a goal I want, I couldn't care less. The Idzik billboards satisfied both of these requirements. The "Bring Back Ed" petition doesn't. I really couldn't give a damn what anybody thinks about the fanbase. Frankly, the fanbase has a far better track record over the past 40 years than any other entity associated with the team (ownership, management, coaching, player personnel, media).

Step two: put up billboard Step three: avoid directly answering any questions reguarding credibility and profit motivation/ promise "final edit" video of flag day promotion - never deliver. C'mon Junc....at least the billboard guy did something. As fans, there's not many options out there. By quitting, maybe Ed affected change. Who knows. But to bring him back seems weird. Even beyond Jets kinda weird.
I am sure Ed still loves the Jets but walking out when we were as low as can be annoys me. If he was having issues w/ fans get security involved, don't abandon the team. Now that we should be much better I don't want him being the face of the fanbase. if we lose the chant we lose the chant. I just want a loud building, we shouldn't need Ed to get the place loud. He never helped w/ that in the past.
My seats are very close to his and believe me he was getting abused pretty frequently at the games. It was scary.
