that was literally the last deal that he made and it worked out well in our favor. we got cap room, kearse started 16 games for us with 800+ yards and we got a 2nd round pick. the seahawks got practically 0 production out of richardson and carried his large salary and now are letting him walk.
Mac should honestly be fired right now. He's failed in FA and he's going to botch the draft again. No point in keeping him around at this point.
LIB Please be more careful before you start a thread my friend. Either provide a legitimate source or don't start the thread.
Yea I'm not a big thread guy to begin with....I was doing my best Francesa impression.I think I've made one or two threads the last few years
I will say this....Kimberly Jones on NFL network just made the Bridgewater signing sound pretty unremarkable. She said "If you're Bridgewater, you might be reconsidering this with the signing of McCown and possible drafting of a QB".
If we are serious about trading up in draft I don't think we are signing Teddy. We already signed McCown(although for too much money). He can hold the fort until we bring along the rookie QB. Signing Teddy on top of Cousins is a luxury we don't need imho. Let's spend money elsewhere.
So are we signing Bridgewater or not? The only reasonable thing I can come up with is that the Jets brought McCown back to be our 3rd stringer. He is insurance for Bridgewater, who we would have be our bridge (heh) QB for a rookie we draft this year.
Problem is, nothing is guaranteed at #6. Someone jumps into the top 5 for a QB, and there is a distinct possibility the Jets get QB at 6. Bridgewater is a nice buffer if in fact - they do get hosed (which always happens to the Jets).
Mccown is being named the starter and Bridgewater has not been confirmed as signing yet. I think it's not looking promising that he signs. He's 25 and he's going to backup a 39 yr old?
