not only that, but he pumped to richardson to draw the safety up and then let if fly to keller ... loving the "either or" plays schottys been callin for sanchez as of late
I'm not a guy who has loved Shotty although I have defended him against the brutal attacks during this season. Fact we were no. 1 in rushing attempts and No. 32 in passing attempts. The nonesense that we didn't run enough or passed to much was just that nonesense. Our run pass ratio was higher toward the run than either Flacco or Ryan during their rookie years. I think Shottenheimer did a great job in 06, not good great. We had limited talent on our OL, bad talent in the backfield a smart QB who was extremely limited in 06 and had a tough time making throws outside the hash marks. 07 was a cluster F%**K of epic proportions. The OL was a dissaster. Last year we bring in Favre and the Offense was basically chucked out the window. 4 years, 4 QB competitions and 4 different QB's. Tannenbaum loves Shottenheimer and from all apperances as bad as we were the last two years Shottenheimer was still a legit HC option and Tannenbaum actually considered giving him the job. Chances are he's going to move on to a better job next year. Tannenbaum has a ton of confidence in him and based on what the team is doing now and how well some of our young players are performing, the same guys drafted by Tannenbaum, as a fan you have to be pleased with the over all direction and that includes Shottenheimer. In this league QB's and OC's are tied at the hip. Shotty as our OC has had a pretty crappy hand as far as QB's until this year. I think Sanchez is going to be a real good QB and this first year under Shotty was a great experience for him. Over all regardless of whether he stays or goes, I'm pretty confident that Tannenbuam will replace him with a very good OC. It's going to set us back a little but not much.
