sounds pretty anti-Favre to me. He's the 3rd rated QB in the NFL but the way you talk about him it sounds like he shouldn't even be starting on any team.

Favre led the team to 3 Touchdowns. How is that bad? Just because T. Jones ran two of em in Favre's stats aren't as gaudy. But he got them there in that position to score in the first place.

I'm sorry I didn't realize he was the 3rd rated QB:rofl: That is mostly based off a 4th gtr of garbage time against SD and the ONE great game he had against Ari. Outside of those 2 games our O is averaging 18 PPG, last year w/ all our problems we averaged 17 PPG. Favre has NOT played well this season otuside of the Arizona game. We see flashes and I feel pretty confident he's getting better and will be fine but please let's not pretend like he has played well b/c for the most part he hasn't.

As far as your last post. The jets started drives in Cincy territory FIVE times, the avg starting FP was almost midfield and we scored only 26 points.

Not too sure. I don't know if they could go on the run we think they're about to go on with someone else at the helm, and I don't know if the collective attitude is there either.

Chad is winning in Miami w/ Ted Ginn as his top WR. I am 100% confident we would be at worst 3-2 right now and quite possibly 4-1. Now that doesn't mean we would have finished better w/ Chad. I do think the ceiling is higher w/ Brett and he appears to be fairly comfortable now which is a great thing but we would have won around 10 games w/ Chad IF Chad stayed healthy which was always the #1 concern.

One very minor criticism of Favre, do you remember that double reverse in the 1st half? After its executed #4 takes on a lineman to block and ends up with his pads half out of his Jersey, I cringe every time he does that shit.

Which is sort of the point -- the ceiling. Being 3-2 right now or even better isn't the point. Playing much better than that by end of season is. The Gints were something like 1-4 at this point last year, but it didn't matter later on, they had all cylinders firing when it mattered. If Chad is a v6 and Favre is a v8, that will be what matters when all is said and done.

The Giants were 3-2 a year ago I believe and while I feel Brett could give us a better shot in January than Chad keep in mind that Chad has a better playoff record this decade than Brett despite playing in a much tougher conference.

Maybe my math is bad, but I think the playoff records since 2000 are 2-4 for the Jets and 3-5 for the Packers, no? Isn't 3-5 actually a better percentage?

Also, I would think Packers securing a first round bye in two of those years would count for something. The divisional rounds are usually going to be much tougher games to win. In fact, what are the records there? Jets/Chad are 0-2, Brett/Packers are 1-2, no? And both of the Packer's losses came against the eventual Super Bowl winners. Maybe you think the 2001 Rams and the late season 2007 Giants couldn't be all that good of teams (or for that matter the 2003 Eagles) because they weren't in the AFC, but not me.

    Jets under Chad: 2-3, 40%
    packers under favre: 3-5, 38%

AGAIN we played much tougher opponents in a tougher conference.

The pack only had a bye in one year this decade and that was last year where once again they lost a home playoff game(for the 3rd time this decade).

While we had a dynasty team in our division they were dealing w/ an awful NFC Central/North. Case in point would be Dec of 2002 when the 12-3 Packers came to town against the 8-7 Jets. If GB wins that game they get homefield advantage throughout the playoffs and what happens? We humiliated them. Put us in the NFC North and NFc and we likely have mnultiple conf title game apps and maybe a SB app plus we'd have had a few div titles too.
