Gotta love that. No "me" in team. My nephew was all over this pick. We text each other and just say Hall. I haven't finished reading through the thread but hopefully I don't find something definitively horrifying by the end. I will gladly take a bone bruise. Thanks in advance. Thinking happy thoughts, that was a great block by Mims on that TD, btw. Just trying to keep it light, ya know, UNTIL DEATH COMES KNOCKING. EDIT & P S.: I did laugh about the trials and tribulations part. The guy must have read Homer's The Odyssey before he hit the field, hahaha.
Watching the play live on the stream it looked like a scene out of Rollerball where they were trying to put him out--and I didn't see the helmet to helmet but I damn well heard it and was immediately concerned he was knocked out. FWIW I saw targeting plays throughout the NFL yesterday--guys leaving their feet and launching head first into facemasks--apparently targeting is not illegal in the NFL. In college they'd be ejected for sure.
This was definitely a gut punch yesterday. Breece was looking so good too. That long TD was one of the most exciting Jets plays I have seen in years. Hopefully he makes a full and speedy recovery.
I can't imagine a bigger loss. Even with all our OL injuries it did not slow Hall. 5.8 YPC with our line? Arguably the best running back in the league. He fits in with the way our defense was playing so well and he really gave this team an identity. It was Breece's team. Without Breece I am not sure who the Jets are. MLF will need to redesign the offense. No one else is a home run threat like Breece or able to continuously gain yardage, I think we will need to become a passing team 1st to have success running the ball now rather than the reverse of what we were doing with Breece
I was just looking around for an update and all I saw were blurbs like Jets fear the worst but no new info. I don't belong to Twitter so I don't know if anything else came out yet. Seems like the longer the silence the worst the prospect. : /
I did a search a few minutes ago and saw nothing. Maybe he is trying to get a second opinion before releasing news. Hard to expect anything but the worst.
not necessarily. I bet the mri isn’t until tomorrow. There’s just nothing new to say. All I’ll say is if the on field test was that clear it was a tear we’d know by now. Teams announce that stuff fast when there’s no doubt. Probably has an acl injury but there are more injuries than tears. Could be a mild sprain for all we know. let’s see what happens. Last I checked Zach tore his acl in august. it very well may be the worst case but to me the fact they are totally waiting for the mri is a potential good sign regarding severity.
I guess what I'm thinking is that an MRI would have already been done, probably even last night; but, yeah, nothing else to do but wait.
I'm obviously not a sports medicine doctor, but can anyone kindly fill me in on what exactly it is that they saw on the sideline that was a strong indicator/harbinger of doom? Or at least a 60/40 chance of a death knell? I do have the game taped so I guess I could find it my fat self.
