BREAKING NEWS: Manti Te'o has just been elevated to number 1 on the Detroit Lions draft board. This is the most bizarre story I've heard in a very long time. This will certainly damage his integrity and draft stock.
Not buying that Tuiasasopo fooled him for over a year, especially when he claims he talked to the girl on the phone and met her in person. Seems like it was a joke and or a beard that got out of hand as the friend started going over the top with it.
Not that it matters, but -- Correction: Story about Grandmother is real, but story about Girlfriend is fake.
His reputation is taking a huge hit & he snubbed the Senior Bowl. He needs to talk to some NFL football insiders or agents ASAP because this going to be one hell of a drop when it comes to draft value.
So why didnt they report it after the 26th? Thats another thing we need to look at. Something this big, while Te'o being the "victim" certainly shouldn't be hidden until a site like deadspin exposes them.
