Two knee surgeries in a few months span, cut by another team, 28 year old wide-out with a history of off the field issues. Thank God you're not the GM.
Yeah because a cheap contract with little guarenteed, if hes that bad hell never get signed, or cut in the preseason. Were talking ultra low risk high reward. Anyone with eyes saw what happened when we lost him. Its a no brainer
Good teams can take flyers on reclamation projects. The jets need talent that can help them win. I rather the roster spot be used on a UDFA who could turn into the next victor cruz the a one tool WR who has a bad wheel. And good quarterbacks make their WRs better, so all this "great chemistry with Sanchez" BS is basically an admission that Sanchez needs WRs to make him look good and that Sanche dosent have the ability to make any WR shine.
Yeah thats why the Pats will cut Welker, Brady doesnt need a short white guy with chemistry. Amright Plus Ocho had a monster year, like 10million receiving yards Screw chemistry
People saying it would be stupid to sign him need to look at the chemistry. The only person Mark has more chemistry with is Keller. Braylon loved being a Jet. He got paid less than Plax. Imagine coming off of surgery. Easy 1 year 3 mil little $$ promised. I say if he healthy it won't hurt.
Welker came back clean from his injury and didn't need follow up surgery. He was also already under contract. Also Welker is not a one dimensional player. But don't let facts get in your way of insisting the Jets downgrade their WR position even further. Ocho is a fucking moron who can't learn the playbook. But then again the Pats are a superbowl team, they can afford to take flyers on guys. If they don't work out, no big deal, because they made the superbowl without needing him.
If that's true then Peyton would be waste. Just want to make sure there's no double standard on players in the Jets org.
Unlike Braylon, Plax can actually catch balls that hit him in the hands and don't require a circus catch to get too. Plax can also run a good route. But neither one of them have any business being on the team next year.
Brady isn't a wide out, I mean these comparisons you constantly make, one is dumber than the next. Obviously knee mobility is a lot bigger deal to a guy whose job it is to scream down the field and beat DB's than it is for a guy who needs to sit in the pocket and throw the ball.
No, see the all-world quarterback having a knee injury is exactly the same as the mediocre wide out who only in in the league because of his speed having a knee injury.....because...uhm...well they just are!
Umm...what does that have to do with the quote I responded to? Players have successfully recovered from more significant injuries than Braylon had. I'd say that anyone who's making a decision on him right now, based on beliefs about his health, is jumping the gun.
Boy, the one thing I learned here is that Dave really hates Edwards. Is that where the crazy part came from? Seems to me Sanchez Fans are always complaining about too much turnover at receiver and that sort of thing. Bring back Edwards and see if he's healthy. He doesn't take a roster spot until the final cuts.
bring back Bray great chemistry with sanchez why not bring him back thats what we need more at this point also j.co would be a good idea to bring back to get some leadership back in the locker room.
Braylon will be REALLY cheap. Last offseason he couldnt even get a single team to get him, so the 49ers just took him cheap. Now after last year his value decreased a lot, and he KNOWS IT. Thats the thing, last year he didnt want to be a Jet when Holmes was making 10 million while he would only make 3. Now he knows his value has dropped so he will take what he can get.
