i wouldn't care if Braylon stabbed your mother for a bag of her pubes......he's too important to this offense...especially with Holmes on the sideline.

screw your morality....I want to smoke the Phins.

Wow..yeah he is probably guilty but before all you holy rollers jump on the a-train let him go to trial and be proven guilty before anybody punishes him for anything. Did you know those breathalizers are wrong at least as often as they are right? Did you know they have to be calibrated twice a year to hold up in court and almost no law enforcement department ever does that on a regular basis? Let the law run its course before you start strapping him into old smokey.

The embarrassment this will cause him and his family and knowing that he let NY, the fans, the coaches and his teammates down should be punishment enough for most any normal human being. Let's hope Braylon falls into this category and truly feels sorry and won't fuck up again.

Yeah, Edwards won't get that. My guess is that Edwards will not see the field for at least the first series.

(That earlier post from me was nothing more than illumination as to how the league and the Elias Sports Bureau officially records starts. The poster I quoted was unaware of what officially constitutes a start.)

Fvck that, I'm so glad he's only signed for one year. I'll take Holmes, Cotchery and a WR in the draft and be rid of this clown after the year. It's not as if he's ever done anything other than his first week with us, one bomb catch in the AFC Championship and his game this past Sunday.

Like most I think it'll only be one series, two max for the benching...it's tricky, you have to send a message but you don't want to punish the rest of the team and fans for his douchebaggery.

"I had a couple of drinks," Edwards said to the officer, according to the police report.----NEVER SAY YOU HAD A DRINK

According to the arrest report, the officer asked Edwards when he had his last drink.

"About an hour ago," Edwards responded.

Urbina asked Edwards if he was familiar with a breathalyzer. He responded that he was but asked why he would not undergo a field sobriety test like in Michigan, where he went to college. The officer said that was not procedure in New York.-------DON'T BLOW, JUST GO TO JAIL. YOU CAN GET OUT OF THE DUI IF YOU DO NOT BLOW

Edwards said to Urbina: "How about I just leave the car and take a cab and go home?" ------SIT IN YOUR CAR AND DO NOT MOVE

But the wide receiver did undergo the breathalyzer exam, blew a .16 and was arrested.---STUPID

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PRESENT YOUR LICENSE, INSURANCE AND REGISTRATION (AS LONG AS EVERYTHING IS IN LINE YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING.

When are this young men ever going to learn that the only thing out on the street at 4:45 in the morning after leaving the "CLUB" is

    Trouble !!!!!!!!!

lDrunk driving is serious business, and kills more people then many wars we have been in. His team mates are just as much at fault for letting him get behind the wheel in the first place. An secondly, just as stupid for getting in the car with him behind the wheel.

Sorry folks, but I would sit his ass for the Fins game, and if we lose well that's on him as well. I would send a clear message that this kind of BS will not be had on the NY Jets, especially when the asshole could have called a service for a ride home. As far as I am concerned he just cut his own throat with this ball club and gave his job and new contract to Holmes.

An I don't give a shit about his day in court or some slick lawyer who is going to try and get him off on some BS technicality , breathalyzers don't lie and the man was drunk behind the wheel.....

Take if from a former medic who has covered his share of innocent men, women, and worst of all children, killed by assholes who felt they were okay to drive...........and in most of this cases walked away with bearly a scratch.......

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports fellow Jets teammates D'Brickashaw Ferguson and Vernon Gholston were in the car with Braylon Edwards when he was stopped for DWI, according to source.

Vernon takes a step forward on the field and falls backwards off it.

obviously if your profession involves driving and you get a dui you would get arrested but being a nfl wr doesn't rely on driving.

And that is all it is. To the poeple saying this sends a "strong message", ummm, no, not at all. Does the opposite. So far the team has sent a stronger message about fumbling than it has for this. What a joke.

His job is to play Football.

If he was a bus driver then, sure, he should be suspended from driving.

Does your workplace suspend people for this sort of thing?

If people are going to criticize the Jets for not suspending Braylong, which they will, alos per cba rules a team can't suspend a player for a dui from what I read on Pro Football Talk.com I didnt hear anyone complaining openeing day when Ronnie Brown played after his DUI over the summer or the Ravens assisstant who just got a DUI this week who will probably be coaching this sunday.
