 What a response. We should start. MAPWSIS Mothers Against People With Shotguns In Supermarkets
You'd get caught for doing that no matter what, and put in prison. I'm not condoning it but I'd venture to guess most people in their 20's have driven after drinking at least once.
Am I the only one that feels that suspending Edwards would only hurt the Jets? He's still getting paid, so what are we paying him for? To beat the fucking Dolphins!
Wow, I just read some of the beat writers twitter accounts. I am amazed at what a complete douchebag revis has become. He is biitching about what Edwards did??? He is the most selfish prick on the team, his holdout and now predictable injury is worse for the team than if Braylon freaking killed someone. Darelle always seemed like a good guy, now he's a dick.
Because he doesn't like it that Edwards was out drinking and driving at 5 in the morning he's a douchebag? The Jets need a couple of leaders to step up and take over that lockerroom, and apparently Edwards drinking buddies D'Brick and Gholston aren't candidates.
He's a douchebag cause he should just keep his mouth shut. He caused a distraction by holding out, now is injured bc of his holdout, and ultimately his absence may cost us games. And if you need a leader look elsewhere, while the team was busting their ass in cortland, he was working on second rate music and dressing like urkel. I would have no complaint about any other of the 51 guys on the team saying Braylon embarassed the team, but not Revis. Not after a 40 day holdout with three yrs left on a contract, and now missing at least one key divisional game bc of his lack of conditioning. Shut up hypocrite.
Also, he's a dbag for what he intimated to Peter King, days after returning to the team, saying in two years he may have to hold out again. I will root for Revis bc he helps the Jets, but he has changed
He's also an even bigger douchebag because he has held out twice and says if he even plays pretty good he will hold out again in two years...and why isn't he playing this week? Because his poor little hammy-whammy is sore? He's a fuckin punk who should be playing soccer..that's more his style.
Nothing bad, it is the "in" thing to hate Revis with a passion. When it comes to innovations on the word stupid, Don is at the forefront.
Braylon doesn't get it: Braylon Edwards: 'I don't understand the black eye that this would put on the organization' » By Manish Mehta Braylon Edwards spent the better part of 10 minutes today dodging questions due to a “pending legal matter” and maintaining that he didn’t know how his DWI arrest Tuesday morning would project the Jets in a negative light. “I don’t understand the black eye that this would put on the organization,” Edwards said in front of his locker this afternoon after practice. “Because this isn’t a representation of what this organization is about. This isn’t what Rex Ryan, Mike Tannenbaum and Woody teach. It’s isn’t. This is a situation that I’m in - that I put myself in. So I don’t see how this could be a black eye for them. More so be a black eye for myself if anything.” Edwards, who will not start against the Dolphins on Sunday night, appeared flippant during his session with the media and admitted that he wouldn’t contest it if the team decided to deactivate him for the game. “If that was the decision that they wanted to make, then I would support it whole heartedly,” Edwards said. “I wouldn’t fight it.” Edwards’ message to Jets’ fans: “I’m still here,” he said. “I’m happy to be playing for the Jets. I’m happy to be in this situation (of still playing).” "I'm sorry,” Edwards later said. “I'm human. I'm not the first person to make a mistake." Edwards admitted that he hasn’t addressed the team as a whole yet. He’s spoken and texted several teammates that have reached out to him. “It was sad for me (being) in that situation,” Edwards said. “I don’t know if I would describe it (as) embarrassed.” Edwards said that he hadn’t signed up for the Jets Player Protect Program that provides around-the-clock car service for players. “I have my own car service that I use all the time,” Edwards said. “I never drive to the city. I don’t know my way around the city. I don’t like driving to the city. Yesterday was probably the third time I’ve ever driven to the city of New York.” Rex Ryan said he was “to say the least, very upset” when he received a call from Tannenbaum around 6 am Tuesday morning that Edwards had been arrested. The coach also contended that benching Edwards for the start of the game was a steep punishment. He said he hasn’t decided how much playing time Edwards will get yet. “That’s a bigger punishment than you think,” Ryan said. “That’s it for now.” Said Edwards: “When you’re starter and you’re told you’re not starting - and you’re not hurt -- it is a prideful thing. I don’t mind that at all. Anything they feel like they need to do as a disciplinary action, I’m okay with it. And I support it.” Ryan spoke to the team this morning with a simple message: “Quite honestly, I’m basically tired with dealing with some of these issues,” Ryan said he told his players. “I’m tired to the embarrassment to our owner and this organization. Let’s just end it. Let’s stop it. .. We don’t need to be that team. This team works too hard to be looked at in this light…. It’s kind of an embarrassing moment for the organization.” Edwards’ incident is the latest in a string of events that has created the perception that the Jets are a team out of control. Ryan disagreed with that sentiment. “We are a disciplined football team,” Ryan said. “I think our football team has learned our lessons. …I’m not going to hold people’s hands 24/7,” Ryan said. “We’re professionals. We need to act like professionals.” “I think Braylon is a good man,” Ryan added. “I think Braylon made a mistake. I don’t know how many guys donate $500,000 to his university. But I know Braylon did.” Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/jets/2010/09/braylon-edwards-i-dont-underst.html#ixzz10J8HBII4
Sorry dude, but I have always really liked Revis, and when he reported I cheered loud as hell for him at the Raven game. But, I feel he has no right to be commenting more aggressively than anyone else on the team, he has undeniably hurt the team by his actions this year as well, and I think it's hypocritical. Not hating on him bc it's "in"
Lol struck a nerve? You? hahahahah yeah ok. 10 of you couldn't upset me, however, posts by 10 of you would sure lower the IQ of this place. I would say in a week or two you will have the 2010 award all wrapped up.....
Whether you like his business decisions or not he is a leader on this team. He was asked to be a leader on this team. He answered a question, bfd. He didn't hurt shit other than fans opinions of him.
“I don’t understand the black eye that this would put on the organization,” Edwards said in front of his locker this afternoon after practice. “Because this isn’t a representation of what this organization is about. More so be a black eye for myself if anything.” THIS is the problem with too many players in the NFL. It's not like a regular 9-5 job. Wherever you go, whatever you do, you are going to be perceived as a NY Jet by the media and fans. Like it or not, that's the reality.
If Revis didn't hold out as long as he did he probably is covering Boldin all of week one. Boldin hurt us when Wilson was covering him. Whether the Ravens would have been able to score that TD with Revis locked on Boldin is a question I have. It's one that can never be answered. If Revis doesn't hold out so long does he injure his hammy? The D played lights out without him Sunday, but will that continue? To say that he without a doubt did not hurt the team seems pretty silly to me.
My main problem with what revis said is the fact that while he was holding out, none of his teammates said "he should be here". Now he's injured, which certainly hurts the team, and I don't hear " maybe he should have showed up in better shape". These statements would have been as fair and appropriate and true as what revis said today, but none of it was said, bc u support ur teamates. For revis to say what he did is the height of hypocrisy, regardless of the truth in what he said
