First play on Monday night will be a run up the middle for 2,Second play on monday night will be another run up the middle for 3, Then yep you guessed it an incomplete pass to Kerley, Bring out the punter
It is such a complete myth that sanchez was good when braylon was here. Let me remind you of how not good he was. Sanchez with Edwards in the lineup: 28 Games 70.1 QB Rating - LOWER THEN HIS CAREER RATING 54% Completion % - LOWER THEN HIS CAREER COMP% 25 Touchdowns VS. 28 Interceptions - WORSE THEN HIS CAREER TD:INT RATIO 178.2 Yards per game - LOWER THEN HIS CAREER AVERAGE 6.55 Yards per attempt - THE SAME AS HIS CAREER AVERAGE So braylon edwards is supposed to come here and make mark play like "the old mark" yet the old mark with edwards on the field was worse then his career marks in every single category. mark sucks now and he sucked back when edwards was on the team.
Why the hell not at this point? Danario Alexander had 46 catches over the past 2 years, was out of football, and had knee issues when the Chargers signed him. He's been huge for them these past few weeks. I thought Braylon showed enough flashes in Seattle (granted some was in preseason) that he's worth a shot if his knee is holding up.
Statistically, you're right. Looked that up yesterday. But really, Mark's numbers have been stagnant in 2010, 2011 and 2012. He was awful in 2009, and Braylon played in 12 of those games (after Mark hit the rookie wall). I think that skews it slightly. I do think he can help this team out. Have low expectations, and be pleasantly surprised if he can provide more than that. It's stupid not to try it. Braylon has had more success than any other receiver on the active roster, and he costs virtually nothing. It's absolutely worth a shot.
Considering our depth, I think he'll be starting Monday night. Not a slam on any player, but we are badly banged up at WR.
id much rather have the young guys play and get some reps in regular season games. our season is over, better to help bring young guys along then have vet scrubs play
i dont see how he helps us? this season is over, and next year he is just a year older and will bitch when sanchez gets benched. and he really isnt all that good to begin with. id rather give young guys the playing time
Haha. Seriously though, this guy's argument for Braylon not being good is based on Sanchez's stats for his first two seasons in the NFL? The guy is an improvement over Gilliard, some practice squad scrub.
Yeah, 6-7 one game out of the wildcard indicates that our season is over. Nevermind the fact that two of the teams directly above us play each other, nevermind the fact that we play three teams with worse records than ours, nevermind the fact that the teams above us play pretty difficult teams, no our season is over. Seriously? Are you really saying that? We're 6-7 not 1-12...
Who? What "young guys"? Hill? knee injury Gates? Concussion (and sucks) Shillens? not young..... been on the Raiders IR for years Jordan White? possibly, but if he can't get activated with the guys they have, the coaching staff must not like him
What is special about Clyde Gates or Chaz Schillens? Jets are trying to make the playoffs, we won't stand a chance with the WRs we have now. And we just lost a solid run blocker in Stephen Hill. Let it go man. Just let it go.
Just by the eye test, the best the Jets offense (and sanchez) looked was in 2010. Of course the team had a lot of talent on offense that year which helps.
Normally I'd agree, but I don't want to sit through another prime time game where we have 0 offense. Bray may give a little spark, ya never know, he might even intercept a couple of Mucks passes. :rofl2: If nothing else, he can teach the young guys.
