2 years ago if someone said that Reyes would be even as good(nevermind better) then Wright I would've laughed. Yet here we are.
He's only 24-years old. He'll be a Met for life. Most exciting player I've ever seen. I need to stop thinking about this. It's too much.

I've never seen anything like Jose Reyes before. I can't tear my eyes away for a second when he's batting. I imagine this is what it was like for previous generations to watch Willie Mays.
That is a very interesting stat about Smoltz - opponent's BA goes from .175 to .400 on the third time through the lineup. He is either hurt or that is a real warning sign that his career as a starter is going to end soon.
That's probably a good analogy, although Jose is obviously not the power hitter Mays was, while Mays was not the speed demon Reyes is. The obvious parallel is Rickey Henderson, especially since Reyes is walking more than he used to. One thing that I don't thing Rockey could match, however, is Reyes' enthusiasm, which is such a joy to watch.
