Back from what I certainly expect is my final game at the Big Shea, more than 44 years after my first one. I don't know what was more amazing - seeing a complete game victory for a Met pitcher, or seeing a game that only took 2:08. I don't know if you heard me, but I certainly thanked Larry quite a bit for his help in the first inning.
what the hell just happened, 2 straight minutes of cackling on the SNY broadcast for no apparent reason. get seaver the hell out of the booth there's a reason he got fired.
I had thought Mike Hampton was to be out all season with an injury. You learn something new everyday. Well, it's a good thing he is back.
Good thing I switched to the 49ers-Bears game. J.T. O'Sullivan just threw an excellent deep out to Vernon Davis. O'Sullivan did play well in Week 1 when Jon Kitna was out for the middle portion of the game with a concussion. Alex Smith sucks and Shaun Hill should never be a regular starter.
GGGOOOO Nationals. 2-1 Washington in the 7th. ANDERSON HERNANDEZ singled in Kearns for the go ahead run. In comes Durbin to face Christian Guzman with runners at the corners and 2 out.
Alex Smith is now in, so back to baseball. O'Sullivan's final #s for the night- 7 of 8, 128 yards, 1 TD O'Sullivan backs up Tom Brady on one of my keeper league teams. Marlins lost. Phillies losing in 7th.
I have to wonder how much of that is Acta's fault - they're not only bad, they also play like they don't give a damn (that's certainly the way they looked in the game I saw them play against the Rockies in Coors Field a couple of weeks ago).
