I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. By All accounts Fitz should have been resigned..albeit, not for 12 million. I'm just not sure where you fit Geno into this.....2 of your top receivers are telling you, Fitz is the guy and Geno is not.....the preseason told you, Geno is not....or at least should have.

I don't understand this love for Geno...the guy is slightly below average, and dumb as rock. That's disaster, regardless.

 

I, for one, think Marshall's speech is the sole reason they managed to put 3 points on the board!

 

You're right, Geno was below average but what has Fitz been? We let 2 wide receivers and a journeyman QB who had a miraculous season punk us into giving him 12 million. You don't take into account what Marshall and Decker want because they aren't receiving a pay check from Fitzpatrick, they get one from the New York Jets. Which at the end of the day means that their personal allegiance to Fitz takes a back seat to what the team does.

They had their preference, that does not mean the Jets had to oblige by their wishes. You never let players dictate what your team does...that's called the inmates running the asylum. If a patriots player did what Marshall and Decker did they would have been shipped out the day after.

this is a part of it that concerns me, we had such trouble with rex and the leaks around his teams. then last year there was nothing, absolutely nothing for anyone to hold onto and we thought oh good, quiet coming from jets land.... that didn't last long.

 

My biggest problem with Marshall is that he has too many drops, And don't blame them all on the QB. He's often jawing with the refs about holding.
There have been plenty of good holding calls an a few phantom ones. It may be time to actually hire refs with a year round salary.

 

I hope he remains on the team so there is his meltdown to look forward to next season. I think it has the potential to be one of the all time epic meltdowns.

Reading some of these threads, it's hilarious how fast fans turn on their players. This shit is comedy gold. Almost makes me ashamed of being a Jets fan.

 

people WAIT and HOPE for the opportunity to turn on a lot of guys. they don't like something about them or the way they act or the things they do or they are jealous that this son of a bitch makes so much money.

and when things are going good they stay quiet, lurking, waiting to pounce and at first sign of trouble or discord they FREAK THE FUCK OUT.

as much as fans complain about guys not being dedicated to their teams, they are just as bad with shitting on guys that they cheered for a short time ago. and they will welcome with open arms a guy they hated when he played for the other team.
