I love how many people came out of the woodworks just to bash Rex and the Jets. It's also amazing how many people are calling for Rex's head when this man has brought a new identity to the Jets and made them relevant again. They go on about how much he talks but as a previous poster said -- Do you guys actually WATCH the press conferences or just read what the fucking Daily news and Post wants you to read. Watch the press conferences first, THEN open your mouth because anyone who watches it realizes he's not just some asshole who trash talks for no other reason other than to just talk. He very often compliments the other team, in fact he does it in almost every press conference. Yet they just nit pick what they want to hear and make it news. And have some of you thought possibly that he talks big, if you want to call it that, to take the heat off of his players? Yes, they deserve the criticism but that's his coaching style, always has been. He takes the heat, and I'm sure he handles his business in the locker room, behind closed doors. It's not the media's or fans job to reprimand the players, it's his and he deserves to do so in a manner to his liking. After the relatively good performances by Smith and Hunter in the post season, I don't blame him for having confidence in either of them. Hindsight is 20/20. I have confidence Rex and Tanny will address these issues in the off season, I think they've earned the benefit of the doubt after making the Jets team relevent againt. And if they haven't, then yes I'll agree with you someone needs to wake him the fuck up, but at this point he's just working with what he has.
Its week 17 and we still have a shot at the playoffs . We made it to the AFCCG the past two seasons . What period in Jets history has that ever happened . Yes Rex has made the Jets relevant , get used to it he'll be here for awhile.

Those are points that definetly need to be considered. They are playing like an uncoordinated bunch of undisciplined kids. There has to be some discipline on an NFL team. Its begining to look like the inmates are running the asylum. If Ryan is going to be a successful coach in this league, he better start showing that he can impose his will on the players, or he is going to end up on the coaching scrap heap.
But the fact is THEY DIDN'T LOSE, Joe Willie backed up his talk, and rest is history. And the talk really isn't the thing that has fans upset - its the downward spiral this team seems to be on. Talk all you want, Rex, but lets see some coaching, ok?
Trash talking has been in football from day 1 . The problem today is our politically correct society and overblown media coverage. Everyone wants to sell a story - oh ,my god Rex said something about another team or player . This happens in every game and probably in every play, have you ever heard audio from the trenches. As I see it Rex's talking could only have a positive impact on his team . If the players are saying oh great Rex is talking again now he'd going to fire up the other team up - then they have no right being in an NFL lockeroom. Player's put on the uniform for one reason to win the SB. Did Rex do the best job of coaching - No . Do the Jets have major holes on they're team - Yes . Did Rex's talking have any imapct on either of those two categories - absolutely not.
Why are people getting mad at Jacobs? Rex invites these type of comments with his talk. Stop being so sensitive and deal with it. Rex talks shit, that's who he is. Other teams hear his talk and want to shut him the fuck up. When they beat him they want to talk back. So what?
This post is 100% garbage. Rex's press conferences and all interviews are embarrassing. The only identity Rex has given this team is one which makes us look like clowns. Running our mouths to no end and then failing everytime we have a big game. And again the relevency thing comes up. The Jets have been very relevent since fuckin Parcells. Why do people keep saying we were mired in obscurity since Rex got here? Its ridiculously untrue.

Say what you want about the Giants 'destroying' us, but despite our mistakes we had the ball and were driving for the winning points late in the 4th qtr. This game reminds me of the Redskins game in reverse....closer than the score would indicated combined with a mini blow out in the last half of the 4th qtr. Most of us at some point during the skins game thought we'd lose the fucking thing, then wham. Same has to be true for the Giants....I know at least some of them were holding their breath until 'it' happened late.
If you talk the way rex does and not back it up time after time, you deserve the shit you get. Brandon is a douche but he has a superbowl ring and the giants have three. Period. We will sit there in januarynand watch them in the playoffs barring a miracle this sunday. Rex should start yapping about the dolphins now......it will make a fun post-game press conf.
That's what has me pissed, they have not shown up to play in one big game this year. Dallas, yeah we won but the D was atrocious and we needed Romo to hand us the game. New England? Baltimore? New England again? Denver on Thursday night? Philadelphia? Giants? Common theme? All big games and all losses where we have looked awful. Either this team outright sucks or our coaching is killing us. Maybe it's a combination of both but you could clearly see the Jets were defeated after Cromartie and Wilson got destroyed by Cruz, the D played hard but they clearly lost something and the O was downright embarrassing. I hate the Giants almost as much as the Patriots/Dolphins but this loss stung more then any loss to them for the fact that it probably knocked us out of the playoffs but we won't have a chance to play them for 4 years and I'll have to listen for Gbitch fans shoot me down regardless of if we make the playoffs.
Get used to it! You all love when Rex is running his yap. Rex is an effing loud mouth and teams cannot wait to shut him up and talk their own trash. You can't stand idly by while Rex is running off at the mouth and then pissed when another player runs his mouth. This is the other side to the "we have a loud mouth coach" coin.

I hate losing to the fucking Giants, I fully support Rex Ryan but this has been a very painful year regarding a sweep by the pats, a brutal loss to tebow-lead broncos and losing to the fucking giants on xmas eve. I have had my dose of Jets brutality this year.
Jacobs is the biggest embarrassment on the Giants. The guy celebrates like a clown after scoring a TD down 3 scores.
