I think that was his best season. led the league in rushing, had best YPC, most yds, 2nd most TDs(most as a Jet)

I would prefer Cederic Benson but Smith could be a good pickup.

Brandon Jacobs tries to be like a Joe Mcknight type of runner. He doesnt realize he weighs more than the 75% of everyone on the defense and tries to bounce the ball outside instead of pounding it up the middle.

I literally hate Brandon Jacobs more than any other current NFL player.

He is disrespectful, overrated, annoying and he would definitely not help our locker room.

    Hell no.

Putting aside that I don't like him,

I just don't think he's a good compliment to Greene. What I like about a guy like Peyton Hillis is he is a far better pass catcher than Greene is. Between Jacobs and Greene, we'll have two one-dimensional runningbacks, and that's not good enough. Plus, both Jacobs and Greene are more plodding backs, and we'd probably try to treat Jacobs like a goal-line, short-distance specialist, which he's really not that great at.

I have hated him ever since he showboated before scoring a TD on a short run late in a blowout win in San Francisco his rookie season.

I do not want him on the Jets but can see Rex Ryan wanting him because he is edgy and what not. The Ryan-Jacobs beef means little. If anything it might actually help bring Jacobs to the team.

McKnight is nothing special as a back. Powell could become good. He cannot be dismissed yet. Sure he showed nothing in limited playing time, but he would not be the first RB to be a rookie dud and turn into a good player.

Greene is okay. He has been a smidge better than I thought he would be, but certainly he is not dynamic.

The Jets actually want LT back. I don't know if its going to happen or not, but Rex has already reached out to try to make it happen.

I agree completely. The very LAST thing this team needs is a guy like Jacobs. Definitely take a pass on his ass...
