I really dont think that Callahan is the answer, we need to look at an offense like the Packers and Saints and combine our run game with there passing game. Mark has the weapons around him to make it work its just a matter of doing it....
Frankly speaking though... Sanchez does possess very good foot speed for a QB - and good athleticism. What do you guys think about Chris Ault?
Sanchez is nothing special in the shotgun, mainly because it gives away the play and takes away play action. If the Pistol lets effective play action occur then it might be an interesting option. I'd kind of rather the Jets just get a real offensive coordinator in here and run a normal pro set.

It was very telling that when Sanchez tried the fake spike (which was a dumb play given the distance and time) that Schotty went over to him on the sidelines afterwards really pissed off and pointing at his own chest as he did it. I could almost hear the "they're going to blame that one on me" as he said it. Of course what we're going to blame him for is that his offense is just non-functional at this point. That play is on Sanchez but the overall performance is indicative of a coach not making things happen on his side of the ball and we can't afford that any more. Clear out Schotty. Assess Sanchez with the next guy and then go from there. That's the only rational option at this point.
No, the shotgun is a pass about 90% of the time. The shotgun and spread is a pass about 99% of the time with the off reverse coming out of that.
Loved that play calling by Schotty, let the defense easily cover Keller and Holmes with 1 fucking linebacker
It's got to be execution though. Running routes is hard and obviously Holmes and Keller don't know how to do that.

This might be the absolute WORST I've ever seen the Jet offense perform. I guess we should give the Denver D a free pass to the HOF for this performance as it couldn't possibly be Schotty's or Sanchez's fault.
The db's are playing 10-15 yds from the LOS because we just don't go deep. It's absolutely amazing how anyone can ask a QB to constantly throw passes where the D is sitting on slants and short routes all day. How many times do we have to see receivers within 5 yds of each other? Now, thy're actually running into each other :lol:
