If you notice the similarity in language, I think this post was made in response to the "innocence" language of the first one.
And who said throwing a woman down on a pile of guns on a bed was battery? He was just showing her his gun collection. And a verbal threat? Sticks and stones as it were. How can you possibly suspend Greg Hardy for that. No specific rules on throwing someone on a pile of guns I don't think. _
Sarcasm dude. I asked the mods to lock it after they changed the title of the other thread to reflect reality. _
Someone can be found Guilty without direct evidence, ask Aaron Hernandez. Again, the case wasn't about Brady's guilt or innocence, or at the very least the court sidestepped the issue. It was about the CBA and arbitration.
Not true. Not under the CBA. Besides it was not a trial. All the NFL had to do was show the likelihood of Brady being generally aware. Which they did. Again, the NFL investigation and punishment was not a trial. _
This was a win for the NFL. You didn't think the league refused to settle without a reason, right? The judge merely ruled that Goodell and the league made a procedural error in handing out punishment for Brady. Because they never let Tom know he could be suspended just for having knowledge of the deflation scheme, they could not suspend. What the judge was silent about was Goodell's power and involvement in handling punishments and the appeals. Judge Berman said nothing on this which leaves Goodell with egg on his face and all the power he had going in. The league can change it's procedures to be in line with Berman's ruling going forward. And the commissioner (be it Goodell or the next guy in line) can operate the same way. That's a win for the league and I suspect the owners knew this all along.
My thoughts are that the players union are a bunch of effing dumbasses. They have a team and a player blatantly cheating other players, and yet they're going to fight for the cheaters and ignore those who were cheated? Eff them and the NFL. I just lost a LOT of interest in following NFL football.
It won't, because the players who would do that were the ones who were defending him. Eff them all. Any player that backed Brady in this can tear up both his knees for all I care, and I won't shed one tear.
The league should handle the game balls. Is this sport only for quarterbacks? Why can't a linebacker or corner choose the game balls when they are on defense?
Since when does any Jets fan pay attention to Francessa? Will someone please tell Lester Munson that NOBODY BARGAINS FOR AN UNFAIR ARBITRATION!! Julio
if anyone interested in why the suspension was overturned. according to the PDF 'Analysis' portion of Berman's report (page 20) (paraphrased) a) Br*dy wasn't specifically notified he could potentially be suspended during the investigation b) denial of Br*dy's team to interview Pash during the Goddell led appeal c) denial of Br*dy's team to investigative interview notes terrible logic. the NFL apparently needs to specifically notify players to any possibility of suspension prior to issuing one, and the players do not need to cooperate in any investigative process, while conversely the NFL has to concede to any requests that player has in conducting their own legal process. NFL had no choice but to appeal. and unfortunately truth and cheating are no longer even being discussed. only labor laws and process, which is exactly what Br*dy's team has been banking on all along (as they obviously know they are guilty of the offense). the NFLPA lawyer is good..i'll give him that.
You're a baby. Brady didn't cheat, period. There is no evidence that the footballs were deflated beyond what temperature causes, period. THAT'S why the NFLPA took the case. It's the perfect case to show the arbitrariness of Goodell's kangaroo court. Julio
lmao Julio, that is not at all why the NFLPA took the case.. and of course he fucking cheated....even Berman is not suggesting otherwise.
