He was talking about how good the D played, and it's Ryan. So he says Baltimore instead of NY mistakenly and that's a diss? Whatever you need to fire yourself up, I guess.
It was all in the same couple of sentences, while he was talking about the things they were doing to Houston? I don't know, but I don't think he purposely did it to somehow diss the Jets. He kinda rambles abit in that monotone way. On the show it was treated as a slip and no further mention was made of it. Maybe he was dissing the Jets. A pretty lame diss if he was, eh? I'd take it as a compliment if a top coach was confusing my D for the Ravens.
Sure you would. You would have felt great in 2000 if some coach was talking about how Belichick was doing as a HC and referred to the Pats as the Jets, right? I don't think you're that stupid, just enabling. Whatever floats your boat. Belichick isn't as stupid as you are trying to make it out. He's heard Rex talk and knows how proud he is of this Jets team. It's a dig at Rex's pride and Rex will certainly take it to heart and use it on Sunday to get the team fired up.
If my coach had been the D coordinator for the ravens the year before, I'd be smart enough to figure that was where his train of thought was. And I've never been so insecure as to pick apart every word someone says as a diss. I'm sure Rex is irate that BB slipped and compared this D to the one coached last year. Jeez
