Right, so the coaches started the season saying: 1) Nick Foles, 2) Mark Sanchez. My point, exactly. edit: And the same thing is happening to Mark next season. He's going to be a backup on someone's roster.
Maybe it'll be for another team that's also primed to take their Division, only to have the Sanchize mire them in mediocrity yet again.
maybe you will begin to understand what you are watching IF you were watching which you probably weren't.
I thought they would, had no idea their D would collapse or that their 2nd half sched was going to be as tough as it was. He gave them a chance, they didn't miss the playoffs b/c of QB play.
How can you have so much confidence in a guy who never exhibited any confidence in himself or elicited it from his teammates?
it's not roundabout, I said I thought they would so it is a yes. mediocre D and they easily make playoffs.
My bad, late at night, that was meant in response to "he'll be a starter. he was a backup for one season in his career, he will start again next year." Guess who wrote that?
The best Sanchez can hope for is to be brought into someones team in an open competition for the starting spot. Nobody will just hand him a job, the wildcard is Buffalo. And for the record Sanchez only got an opportunity to start after Foles got hurt. Had Foles stayed healthy, Mark most likely never see's the field this year.
Please do not forget that he missed all of 2013 w/ an injured throwing shoulder and was released a month into FA. He will be signed to start unless he decides to stay in Philly.
I dont see anyway he is signed and just handed a job. Only scenario that happens in is if that team drafts a guy early and doesnt want him to start right away IMO. Like I said Wildcard is Buffalo, but even in that situation i'm sure he'd have to compete with Manuel, who he'd likely beat out. I just cant think of a team that would hand him the starting job without any type of competition.
He will be signed to start, will a job be handed to him? No. if a team drafts a QB they will have the ability to compete but he will be signed w/ the intention to start. Buffalo scares me, Mark w/ that talent and we will be watching a better version of the 2009/2010 Jets.
