I don't know if he handed it off out of the formation though. Week 13: Brad Smith had 1 carry for 2 yards. Again, I don't remember if he handed to LT or Greene on any options plays though. Basically everything failed during that game though.
Good, it prevents Schotty from killing momentum by calling the wildcat. Only way this hurts is if Cro struggles on kick returns against a suspect special teams unit.
So the Jets are undefeated this year against the Pats when Brad Smith has no rushing attempts in the wildcat.
I think having him inactive was a great thing. It allowed him an extra week worth of rest. He was a game time decision. With an extra week of rest, he will hopefully be good to go to return a kickoff for a TD...hopefully.
