Rob Turner will line up behind center if he has to. He doesn't give a sh*t. . .

What if Keller or Hartsock gets injured?

Wayne Hunter is starting at right tackle, so that's one of our OL/TE hybrids out of the picture.

I love it when Turner is on the field as a tight end, but I'd still rather have Mulligan active over someone like Isaiah Trufant.

It's not like Smith is a beast as a WR. We lose him on a few Wildcat plays and moreso on ST but LT could run it and Cro can handle the kicking duties

And why is John Connor out? Just to get McKnight in?

Good question - Smith's spot open is most likely why McKnight is active.

Who'd you rather have active now that Brad Smith's out?

    1. A versatile player that can return and cover kicks/punts

    or

    2. A backup fullback that is mainly a contributor on special teams

Why on Earth do you think the Jets would activate a player just for the sake of getting him on the active list...for a playoff game. I think they have a plan in place for him today, particularly on specials.

Didn't they sign some super kick returner from the UFL? Is he playing and why is Cromartie running back kicks if he is?

This sucks. Lets hope Antonio can do the same thing he did last week against the Colts

McKnight will not be returning though. And if we want to establish the run, I think Connor can play a role. I just don't expect McKnight to play a major role outside of ST.

A lot of these guys don't seem to realize the importance of Smith's value as a special teams defender.

In limited opportunities this season, McKnight's done well covering kicks and punts.

I would rather have a healthy McKnight than an gimpy Smith any day. The only thing is possible ball security issues by McKnight. One muffed punt costs us the game.

How do you know that he won't return any kicks or punts? It's unlikely, but what if Cromartie needs a break?

McKnight's role on special teams is incredibly important. Field position should be very important in this game - kick and punt coverage is very, very important.

Casual football fans do not realize this.
