Uhhh it most definitely is not. Do you think everyone in the league ia getting half a million dollars? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Considering that we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs Bowles literally punted the season away.
Yeah, I think it because it's true. https://frontofficefootball.wordpress.com/2017/03/10/nfl-contracts-explained-nfl-minimum-salaries/ https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-minimum-pay-in-the-NFL https://insidefootball.com/nfl-proposed-minimum-salary-table/ https://landryfootball.com/understanding-nfl-minimum-salaries-veteran-cap-benefit-rule-free/ https://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonb...round-rookie-salary-projections/#5f87bb286f04
Undrafted playera and walk on during the season dont always make that much money. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Being drafted has absolutely nothing to do with it. Players who sign in the middle of the year get a prorated version of the annual minimum salary. Being drafted has to do with the length of the contract, but minimum salaries are minimum salaries.
Yeah it does, because they get paid by the week. They dont just walk out with a large check. Not every player makes the same. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Why are you arguing about something that is purely factual? This is the minimum salary. A player who gets signed gets 1/16 of this at least every week (maybe 1/17 because of the bye week?). The vast majority of players stay on a contract for a full year, so your insulting statement to me that I was foolish to think that most NFL players make a lot more than the typical fan was demonstrably false; in fact, almost all of them do. Why not just admit you were wrong and move on, rather than only dig yourself a deeper hole?
So Brain Surgeons Electrical Engineers Cancer Specialist.s.wow and even some Plastic Surgeons make less than Mo Wilk and 8 Million Dollar Buster Screen??? Some weekends they dont even know how to entertain...smh Thats a real"committment to excellence" BTW I think Bowles has "bum look" going on cause someone gave hima case of MD 20/20 for Xmas ...for sure
Well 1 you obviously dont understand the concept of a hyperbole and 2 no they dont all bring home half a million dollars. Draft pics make more than undrafted players and vets have a higher minimum, but they do not all bring home that much. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Kirshawn hogan says hi. Do some. Real research and get back to me Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
And of course it turns into more insults. He does not refute what I'm saying in any way. He was on the practice squad, so his contract was not guaranteed. When he was activated he was making the NFL minimum on a prorated basis, because they didn't sign him to a full year's contract. He got hurt after two games and was put on injured reserve. His experience has absolutely nothing to do with the vast majority of players, who get their contracts guaranteed for the year after the first game of the season. The overwhelming majority of NFL players make well over $500,000 per year. Those are the facts. Deal with it.
Hes wasnt on the practice squad all season. He was active. Which was my point, not all players make the minimum. You dont play, unless its in your contract, you dont get paid. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
He was put on the practice squad on September 4. http://blogs.colts.com/2017/09/04/indianapolis-colts-make-roster-moves-190/ He was promoted to the active roster on September 26. http://www.colts.com/news/article-1...e-Roster/ac6cccdc-f41f-4240-9ba5-9596a81fce80 He was put on injured reserve on October 9 after playing two games and getting injured. http://www.colts.com/news/article-1...an-On-IR/0f6dc8fe-457e-4ef4-95a4-f374d7322f71 You know, exactly what I just said.
And he didnt get half a million. He made less than that. Youre right tho many do get the minimum, but not everyone. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Okay, one more time. If you are on the roster for week 1 your salary is guaranteed for the season. If not you get the prorated NFL minimum at least. The overwhelming majority of players are on the roster for week 1, and get at least $500,000 per year, with that minimum being higher if they have more years of NFL experience. Many of the players who get signed during the season stay with the team for the rest of the season, and make hundreds of thousands of dollars. That is what I've been saying over and over and over.
Thats just not true again. There are many reasons players dont get paid. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Yeah cause most posters on this board are making $465k -$1 mill per year. The league minimum.... Or even $7,200 per week. The practice squad minimum.
