Here, let me re-word my previous post. Are there any Pats fans that can rationalize the Patriots film crew being on the field during the Rams' walkthru the day before the Super Bowl?
Any answer I would give would be pure speculation .. I believe Roger covered that in his presser .. "Walsh was there doing his job" .. Little vague, but that is what he said ..
But earlier in the presser, he said that Walsh stated his job was to conceal taping video of the other team's actions.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on this and say yes.. I did see Roger Dodger's presser, and don't remember every word of it. I do recall him saying he was in full pats gear so obviously people knew he was there in plain sight .. So what's your theory on why he was there?
Every team has a film crew that films things during a game, the only one that we know so far to have the crew film signals of the Pats. Anyways, it would make sense that they would be setting up for the next day, which is what this article says. http://www.boston.com/sports/footba...03/10/to_some_a_vindictive_videotaper/?page=3
Damm .. Fiedler, say it isn't sooooooo... Jay Fiedler-QB-Buccaneers May. 14 - 5:20 pm et Retired quarterback Jay Fielder says the Dolphins tried to steal signals from the Patriots when he played. "There were times in games when we knew certain defensive calls from what we were able to gather during the game or our scouts? eyesight," Fiedler revealed. He called knowing defensive signals "a huge advantage. If the quarterback knows what?s coming, he can dissect it at the line of scrimmage." Source: Palm Beach Post
Shot your self in the foot twice in 1 post... He said they got the signals by looking, no video taping. And, it is your, and that of most of Pats fans, claim that taping signals gives you no clear advantage.
Did those illegal tapes we all watched on ESPN the past couple of days strike you as being recorded with gear that required stadium power or bulky battery packs? Some of them looked like I took them with my cellphone.
The esteemed Senator from Pennsylvania: "Commissioner Goodell's effort to minimize the effect of the videotaping is categorically refuted by the persistent use of the sophisticated scheme which required a great deal of effort and produced remarkable results."
Eddy.. What was my intent on posting this? Do you know or speculating? Show me where I claim this information, or any other Pats Fans "Claims" has no clear advantage ..
When is this rag going to apologize for not being 2 ply? It would be more durable that way when I'm wiping my ass with it. And trust me, when you're burgin' like I'm burgin', you need durability in the bathroom!
I was talking about at the Super Dome, and correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think any video from Super Bowl 36 or any practices beforehand have been seen yet. And if they were putting in their big, clunky cameras that day wouldn't that further put to rest the notion that the Pats taped the Rams walk through? And jetophile, I honestly don't think the notion of a film crew setting up a day early for a game is that bizarre, considering the expensive, big cameras being put in , especially when it's the super bowl and on the day of the game it will be hectic all day around the field.
I am having a little trouble making sense of this post. There is no clarification about what the Patriots film crew was doing there at all. Only that they were wearing Patriots apparel and watching the Rams walkthrough attentively enough to give descriptions of the plays to their coaches.
That article referenced the Patriots camera crew setting up the cameras for game day during the Rams walkthrough, and Matt Walsh walking away saying "we should have taped that (the Rams walkthrough)". The clarification is that they were setting shit up for the next day.
