The Giants pick at #32 becomes twice the player as the Jets pick at #16. There is also a good chance they play the same position. :>(
Jets will draft 3 OL and 4 LBs. Jets will not trade up this year, but rather trade down, and that too in the first.
I think we'll trade down and draft Hightower late in the 1st. Sorry. Should have put that. With the pick we get in the trade (late 2nd or early 3rd), I think we'll draft Sanu. I also think it'll be the only skill position on offense that we draft. I think we'll stay strictly defense and O-line with Sanu being the only exception.
I predict Mike Adams will fall to the third round after just now failing his combine weed test. Bengals draft class: Dre Kirkpatrick Janoris Jenkins (you can never have enuf corners) Mike Adams Cliff Harris Vontaze Burfict
Enuf? Anyway... Failure for weed is not THAT big of a deal. Look at BJ Raji and Percy Harvin. Same things happened to them. Adams COULD fall to the second but it will be tough to get past teams like the Ravens and Giants.
I say the Jets: 1) Draft 2 safeties 2) Draft 2 OL but neither in the first three rounds 3) Go defense first two picks and probably three of the first four picks with a skill player (RB or WR) being the other....
I would be pissed if the Jets drafted Richardson at #16. Too many holes and RB is not one of them. If the Jets trade up to pick him, I will be apoplectic. RBs grow on trees in the NFL nowadays and with the running back by committees being used by almost every team, why waste a pick and that much money on a position that is not a commodity. The Jets need a pass rusher, a safety (Barron), or an OL with that first pick.
I'd be happy with Richardson at 16 if he fell to the Jets. That's an elite player on a non-elite pick. I'd be happier in the overall scheme of events if Richardson was taken and DeCastro fell to the Jets but I'd be pretty pissed off if they took Courtney Upshaw on that pick while Richardson was still out there.
