    1. Jets will take two linebackers in the 1st 2 rounds.
    2. Mark Barron will go 1 pick before we can gt him, but our 3rd round pick, Trumaine Johnson will end up being just as good a safety
    3. Dolphins will draft Mihcael Floyd and not Ryan Tannehill
    4. Courtney Upshaw slips out of the 1st round.
    5. Giants will take yet another defensive end in the 1st round
    6. Whitney Mercilus becomes the best pass rusher in the draft
    7. Jets draft Mohammad Sanu
    8. Trent Richardson has an amazing, heartfelt moment and interview at the draft with his mom that people talk about for years to come.
    9. Chris Rainey becomes a Jet and eventually replaces Joe McKnight
10.Mel Kiper Jr and Todd McShay will have a HUGE argument on air about Tannehill because some unsuspecting team will take him despite other glaring needs.

The Jets will trade there #1 and #3 this year, along with Shonn Greene, to Cleveland for there #1... and pick Trent Richardson at #4!

    man....

12 spots on the chart is around 800pts; our 3rd rounder is around 200pts. 600pts is a bit much for greene. we would have to sweeten the pot.

IF that even came close to fruition u would have some long faces and another very controversial entry into utubes "jets draft blunders"

he is a helluva player but the jets are not in a position to do this with the current state of the roster.

belive it or not i would look for the pats to do something like this.

The man wanted BOLD... then I would throw in a #1 next year and keep Shonn Greene. I would want to keep our #2 this year, along with our other picks. If the fan base threw a fit over getting what will be the best RB in the NFL for a 'Ground and Pound' offense, so be it. I know the odds are against me, but this is my NFL Draft dream.

Not so bold prediction: My TV has a hole through it by the end of the first round if this actually happens.

true but bold may not be the same as outright stupid.

ur original trade scenario could have some traction especially if TR gets past the top 7 or 8.....it would be might bold if the jets pulled a trigger moving to 8-10 for TR.

depending on the compensation it could be a very shrewd move if they could somehow retain this years 2nd and 3rd round choices. it is true our roster is woefully thin in areas, but this draft happens to be deep in those areas so the jets could be OK.

personally i want D as i think the D is what will carry this team ultimately but for someone like TR i could live with a trade up for him.

i do not think i could live with a trade up for blackmon, coples, or ingram.

Bold is you calling me stupid! :eek:hmy:

Moving into the 8-9 or 10 spot for TR is not bold. In fact, it would be 'stupid' if we didn't. Having to come up with the 300 to 400 points difference would be a piece of cake... for a future HOF RB.

I do agree with you that not having to give up our #2 and #3 to get TR would be shrewd, very very shrewd.

I believe our "D" can improve over last year with an improved offense. TR will make the difference by giving us sustained drives and giving Sanchez a viable option play.

Just saying, and as always, it is my opinion.

    BOLD

Jets trade back and end up getting a 2012 2nd, 4th and 2013 1st while still keeping their 2012 1st

That's not going to happen from the 16.

They could trade back to the middle of the 2nd round and make it happen but not keeping a 2012 1st.

How exactly do you plan on accomplishing this? Al Davis is dead.

Jets get Floyd in round 1 and Hightower in round 2 and EVERYONE on the board is ecstatic.

    1. The Broncos draft Tannehill
    2. Floyd gets picked before Blackmon
    3. The Jets do not draft a Wide Receiver before round 5.
    4. The Patriots use both first round picks.
    5. Kendall Wright does not get drafted in round 1.

    1) The Arizona Cardinals will trade a future 1st round pick in a trade up with the Pats to get QB Brock Osweiler with the 31st overall pick as all of us Jet fans facepalm.

    2) Courtney Upshaw falls to round 2 and gets snapped up by the Colts.

    3) Jets will slightly trade up in round 2 to get Bobby Messie and will lose a couple of 6th and 7ths in doing so.

    4) Chris Polk will slide to the 4th round and be an instant steal for whoever gets him(My bet is the Broncos)

no no never would i imply stupidity with ur posts. please dont think that was the case.

the reference was directed at teams, jets included over the years, that fail miserably in recognizing the difference between bold move and an outright stupid one.
