That's the funny thing. You really have to look for coverage of that. Mostly you hear about the heroic stories. Stinks of deflection. Not that I think the driver of a first response vehicle should be demonized for accidentally hitting a survivor. I saw the video of people leaving that plane. They were running anywhere they could to get away from the crash.
Heard something about it on this mornings news how they are looking into the possibility of a survivor being hit by an emergency vehicle. a 15/16 yr old Girl I believe they said... that would just suck. Ironically I just saw a movie that had a plane crash in it and people were doing exactly that... The state of Shock, Confusion and just concuss would be unbelievable.
Completetly puzzled how they allowed a pilot who is only HALF way through the proper training on this Boeing 777 actually fly it with that many passengers. I don't know much about flying planes, but shouldn't they have to fully pass any training before being allowed to put others lifes in their own hands? Just my .02
That is standard procedure, he wasn't unfit to fly the plane. There was also a trainer and a 3rd pilot in the flight deck with him due to the long haul nature of the flight. You've probably been on a flight that had pilots training and you don't even know it. These guys change aircraft like free agents change teams. He has 10K hours in the air just not in that aircraft.
KTVU is a Bay Area Station, I can't believe not one person in the entire newsroom caught this. Ho Lee Fuk actually sounds pretty Korean.
I first saw that video on saturday, and on the way to work today on ESPN RADIO, or CBS radio or whatever the hell it is now, they were talking about it. This story is blowin up! haha I heard the plane company is sueing (sp?) the news crew haha. GOLDEN. Funniest shit I've heard in months easily haha.
