Everyone looks pretty good for game one. Definitely not the same lethargy from guys like we've seen previously.

Wang's control was a little off for my comfort, but he pitched well enough.

    Joba K'd Thomas.

Melky's D saved us a couple times. He also hit a homer off Halladay.

Damon just got himself a TRIPLE!!!

Overall, they look pretty good tonight.

UGH! I hate when guys swing at the first pitch with a runner in scoring position.

I imagine it depends on your cable company... but in my area, Comcast has it on channel 627. (Game 7 on MLB Extra Innings.)

Yeah. It's weird. Baseball is all mixed up with hockey right now. The BB games are listed as hockey games on the bottom of the screen. Hopefully that gets cleared up.

It doesn't. Extra Innings and the hockey package share the same channels until hockey ends, I believe.

Congrats to Giradi...Excellent game by The Melk Man. Shaky start for Wang but did well, although some of his outs were hit hard, but it's a solid start nonetheless.

Nice win. Good to start 1-0. Mo with a save, I like it.

Some of the hits were hit softly, too. It was a typical Wang start.

Agreed. But their were some hard shots, some great plays by Melky and the Giambi snag. But their were some sawn-off hits as well, so it evens out.

It was interesting to hear Kay say if Joba can build up his arm strength to last season where he was hitting 98-99-100 on the gun. Tonight he was consistently in the low-mid 90's, but did touch 97 on the Thomas strikeout.

I'm probably a little over critical for 1 game. But whatever...We beat Halladay.

It's April 1. His velocity isn't going to be 98-100 in the first game.
