Would you say you're not at all biased towards Matthews even though you hold alumni status at Fresno State?

I hope we draft Dorin Dickerson and Nate Byham this season. Then next season we should trade our entire draft to get Greg Romeus, but not before we trade our first, our second, and David Harris to the Eagles for LeSean McCoy!

I've just seen MrE promote Matthews at every opportunity when speaking draft RBs. I noticed bias, that's all. I was biased as hell about Ray Rice since I went to RU, that worked out well though. So did Foster. Mike Teel not sure about yet.

If he is professing any bias it is him overrating Matthews by putting him in the first round. Then again, he hasn't gone through his Combine workout so he could push himself into the first day.

If the BPA is a halfback, the Jets should definitely consider bringing him aboard if we do not get a guy in FA that can blow him away, or if we lose both Jones and Washington. Greene has injury concerns, Washington is coming back from a horrific injury, and Jones is all but gone. Halfback is a bigger need than most people want to believe. Especially if Rex still wants to protect Sanchez with the ground game.

If Jones or LW leave I agree, I would take a HB with the 2nd pick. Wouldn't be opposed to trade our first for a 2nd and 4th to get some depth.

My draft board as the team stands

    - BPA (pref DE)
    - DB
    - BPA (pref WR)
    - HB/OL
    - DE
    - OL/DB

    in that order

If the best player available in the first round is a halfback, the Jets should draft a halfback.

It's easy to take for granted the fact that TJ and LW might both walk in free agency. Will Greene and a mid-round rookie be enough to keep the ground-and-pound on track?

No, but if Leon leaves it will likely give us a 2nd round pick which would probably be another HB.

Ryan Mathews is my favorite player in this draft because he's a Bulldog, but I don't overrated him at all.

Todd McShay (douche bag) and Mike Mayock have called him the most complete running back in the draft as well.

That's all I'm trying to say.

If Iupati, Graham, Wilson and Mathews are all there at 29 (unlikely, but possible) would you still take Mathews?

I'd take Mathews over Iupati...not over Kyle Wilson and Brandon Graham though.

So if Jones walks, this makes sense?

I'm still trying to figure out why Freeman McNeil was considered a blunder. He was the leading rusher for the franchise until Curtis Martin.

^ I take much pride in how truly irrelevant that video is in the last 10 years.

If he's available when we pick in the fourth I'll be elated
