cmon guys, everyone knows that the running game isn't 100% on the running backs, the offense line has just as much to do with our running game (or the lack there of)
My thinking is that when you are having so many problems blocking for the running game, then you need somebody back there who will break some tackles, and blaylock just isnt breaking any tackles. But I totally agree that the offensive line is just not getting the job done in the running game. Hopefully as this young Offensive line starts to gel they will get better.
I see a RB and a DT in the first day of the draft next April. Who knows, if we lose enough games, perhaps we'll have a shot at Quinn hmy:  :rofl2:
I haven't read the whole thread, but there is consensus here. Blaylock is best utilized as a change of speed back late in the game when the defense might be huffing and puffing a bit. Use Washington more, too. Barlow or a combination of Barlow/Houston should be used to wear a defense out. I just do not think it is magically going to happen with Blaylock at least not with the current tools available on our O-line. I think our O-line is improved over last year, but we did lose experience. I like Mangold and Ferg, but I think we have to change our approach to running if we are going to get the most out of what we have. I hope Kendall comes back soon, too.
totally agree.... im still new to american football and learning more all the time...and i learnt that blaylock couldnt run over a dolls house. houston please. been saying it all year
