This and RG3 has yet to prove he is a franchise QB. Personally I think RG3 sucks and I would want nothing to do with him. As for Stafford, he showed me what he is this season, a guy who cant get the job done and is pretty much a bum. Texans job is clearly the best job available.
Washington is a horrible opportunity. It's the worst place to coach in the NFL. You have a meddling owner who routinely scapegoats the GM's and coaches while making very risky moves for talent that cripple the organization from a cap and talent perspective.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Chud the OC in Carolina last year? If so look at Cam last year vs Cam the MVP candidate this year. He won't get it but he certainly should be in the discussion. Carolina turned the leaf this year without their OC. I feel for the Browns and their fans though, you have to wonder if they'll ever get it right. In 15 years they've watched the Steelers win 2 SB's, the Ravens win one and the Bungles win 3 AFC Central Titles in a row. They've gone through garbage at the coach position, they've blown numerous #1 draft picks and how many QB's? That's a city that you just feel for their fans which is a shame because they are such great fans. I went to a game there and I had a blast.
Exactly. To me Washington is the black hole of the NFL. No other team routinely takes talented players/coaches and makes them look worse than they actually are.
Makes sense. You know Revis isn't going anywhere now. Lovie is going to love working with Revis and how to properly use him.
Lovie says he has "huge plans". Umm what can the huge plan be other than man coverage lol. Anyway Munchak has been fired. Philbin is still in the air.
Lovie doesn't play a lot of man, though he could match Revis up to certain top WRs. He's a cover 2 guy from the Dungy tree. If he hires Frazier as DC he gets a like minded guy.
Yeah, I would have just kept giving the rock to Jamaal Charles. Oh wait...... Give me a break the guy took a 2 win team to 11 wins this season.
He lost the only game that mattered up until this point. Smarter coaches wear the clock out with 2nd and 3rd string backs. All for naught. Great job Reid
They lost both their running backs and the Colts hadn't found the answer to stopping Alex Smith and the Chiefs' passing attack.
If you have a 17pt lead with 18mins left you run the football. There is no reason at all to pass. Regardless, of Charles and Davis going down (Davis didn't go down until the 4thqtr) you have someone else on your team that can hold onto the football and milk the clock. Reid lost a football game that most novices would win.
Looks like I will be right about this, I really think this is going to be a great hire for the lions.
you are right about the game management, but it is an absolutely asinine argument that the Chiefs should ignore the totality of the season and the long term prospects under Reid and fire hm simply for one game.
Black Monday coming for Marvin Lewis? 0-5 in the playoffs, 0-3 at home in the playoffs; he's had enough opportunities and has shown exactly what his ceiling is. I can't fathom why the Bengals would keep him.
You're correct that Chud was the OC in Carolina last year, but incorrect in trying to say that Chud held Cam back. Chud and Shula had been working diligently with Cam, and teaching him the things that he finally accepted and put into practice this year. Cam has been a better leader and all-round QB this year, but not as dynamic a player, and Carolina's offense hasn't been nearly as productive. Their D has carried them a lot.
