Sensitive much? Pats fan here too, I try and save these rants for stuff about spygate and Bob Kraft. Not "lol look at Belichick's clothes" threads.
Hey, you might be able to confirm this. I heard this somewhere, but have no idea whether its true. Indeed the NFL has an apparel deal in place with Reebok. Bellicheck apparently cut his own deal with someone else, but they wouldn't let him honor it because of the Reebok deal. So it cost him a lot of dough, which pissed him right off owing as how he needs to Fed ex wads of cash to various flunkies he's banging league-wide. Anywho, he's like "fuck you and your contract Reebok, I'm going to wear the ugliest ass shit I can so you won't profit off me." Kind of like a minor act of civil disobedience. what say you?
At least quote me correctly. I never used the word "class" in my argument to describe your beloved head coach. The argument is that he dresses like a bum. Can you dispute that fact? I really don't think so. The argument I was making is that the players are held to a standard by the NFL and so should the coach. So enjoy watching your beloved coach in his thong during a December, sub-zero degree game. My avatar says it all firend!
tom landry managed to do what he needed on the sidelines in a suit. the thought that football isnt a classy sport is what is wrong with it at this point.
Belichick will never write a book or appear on talk shows as an expert on any of the following topics: - Choosing professional attire - Addressing the media - Succeeding in Cleveland - Endearing yourself to Jets fans as a lovable misfit - Going 19-0 (figured I'd get that in before anyone added it) - Getting added to Adalius Thomas' Christmas card list - Getting added to Charley Casserly's Christmas card list - Monogamy - Children's Literature - The history of liquid soap That said, the guy can wear a freaking toga on the sidelines as far as I'm concerned (but please... no close-ups). Wearing suits and nice hats worked for Tom Landry, but even when you put BB in a suit he still doesn't look... right. Somehow.
2 Pats fans, one wants the coach in a thong and one wants the coach in a toga. What's in the water up there?
He looks like someone who has to register with the local police department whenever he moves to a new town.
