Unreal. The Bills? Why jump ship to a division rival like that for the same gig? I get the "shadow" speculation but it seems like there is more to it then that for him to go directly to a division rival, and taking what seemingly looks like the first offer that came his way. Weird.
I think Marrone offers more stability Let's face it, the Jets win 7-8 games this year, Rex is gone. Marrone is new and gets the standard three years.
Manish Mehta @MMehtaNYDN Mike Pettine to be Bills' d-coordinator, per source. Jets' asst DBs coach Jim O'Neil set to join him in Buffalo
How is this bad news? He was leaking information to the press. Big fucking deal, he's with the Bills. I'm sure if we do things right, we'll beat them.
And at least hopefully the media idiocy will end. Pettine left because as long as he was here, he was viewed as Rex's little brother. The only way to advance was to strike out on his own. Now, Rex needs to hire Norv, and spank his ass.
I thought everyone wanted to coach with Rex and Woody. So Pettine, supposedly a great friend of Rex's, turned down a contract offer from the Jets and took a lateral move to Buffalo. To which the homers say big deal, F him, it's all good, the things they usually say.
I wonder if Norv would even want to come there... Rex is basically on a one year deal... I think he will go somewhere with a new coach or a coach that has time.
Why does going to the Bills offer proof that this is an indictment on Rex and Woody? The guy has been in Rex's shadow his whole career. At a point, I'm sure he realized if he ever wanted to become a HC, he would need to get out of that shadow, aka take a job with a diff organization. I can't blame him one bit.
I like him but now wish him nothing but failure. Way to take off to the div rival buddy, and thanks for spewing all that shit to Mehta. Actually, I change my mind. I don't like him anymore.
HAHA yeh good luck with the guy rex took playcalling abilities from in the same season he was given them in the first place
That's dirty, I have no doubt he was the rat now, where there's smoke there's fire, good riddance they both deserve each other.
