So an article stating that the gm went rogue in not conferring with the h.c. is your proof the h.c.s don't make roster moves?

If there were plenty of occasions it wouldn't be called "going rogue"

you could always read what jackson himself says but that probably doesn't fit your theory either.

I read the article. It doesn't make me think h.c.s don't have a heavy hand in roster moves

I don't get why this is such big news.. Who cares. He got cut. Let's move on. He's 34 years old and always hurt... This has been on the news for a day and a half already

There are conflicting reports by the same reporter (you guess it, Tim Graham) where he said around March the team tried to restructure the contract and he refused, and then he tweets this week there was no offer to restructure, so who knows.

I can understand both sides. I lean slightly toward supporting the move. On one hand I feel Jackson is not as effective as our other backs, but his locker room presence is important and undeniable. The bills would have had to cut Bryce brown or boobie Dixon had they kept Fred. It's tough. I certainly understand the fans who are upset because he was an institution here. He was. I also understand the front office looking at a guy sitting on the bench and taking up $2 mil in space. Tough call, I'd say I'm in the middle. I would have supported the move the other way probably as well too. You can make good arguments for both sides.
