Breaking news on ESPN says Cowher is not interested in Jets head coaching job.

Ugh. Is it too late to call Mangini back?

If its hard for black coaches to get jobs in college how did Tyrone Losingham get jobs at Notre Dame, Washington, and Stanford?

Now that Cowher said he's not interested, lets move on. I don't want to hear another word about him.
I'd be shocked if it wasn't Marty, i really would.

I agree....the Jets will regret firing Mangini....at this time next year everyone will be complaining because the Jets only won 7-9 games and sit at home again for the playoffs. Even though I think the Bills were crazy for keeping Jauron I agree with their owner that you need to let a team and coach build together and firing one every 3 to 4 years does no good at all.

It has already been established that the Jets are a clown organization, so Callahan would make perfect sense as the next Jets head coach.

I would not believe a single thing that is published regarding who is or isn't interested in or being considered for the job.

Well, the Jets certainly aren't the Yankees, in terms of the fact that just because this is the New York market, there aren't guys lining up for this job.

Cowher's just not that into us.

The Jets aren't the Yankees because they can't have a 200 million dollar payroll.

Hopefully Shanahan gets added to the list. His ego should make him want the job. I can't stomach the guy but he can certainly coach.

I think basically they talked to Cowher and Woody said Favre will be the QB next year, and Cowher said, "You guys are pathetic. Good-bye."
