I want an outside source for the OC job I don't think we should hire from within unless its Tom Moore but he won't take it.

Don't make me come on myself, man. It's only 5pm here, I usually wait until after dinner.

Seriously, though, he has jumped back and forth between offense and defense and may be the type of innovator the Jets yearn for. I have no idea what type of O he would envision, but his pedigree is nothing if not impressive.

Yeah, Moore is older than dirt, I doubt he would even be interested.

Maybe for a veteran established QB he would be but not for Sanchez

WCO is a large part of why Sanchez has struggled in Schotty's offense. Cally would be a terrible choice for exactly that reason.

I'm available next year. I play a mean game of Madden, which means I can already judge game situations better than Shotty.

We need to take someone from the Saints or Packers and have them merge there passing game with our running game...

Maybe he's not signing an extension because he's pissed that he's not going to get promoted to OC because Moore's getting the job?

The guy coaches drew Brees, who if we had to compare Sanchez's stature to, it would be to him. I would imagine him helping Sanchez with moving in the pocket and overcoming the batted balls that we've seen in the past. Brees is the most accurate passer in the NFL, so this would be a big help.

Bringing any bit of knowledge from Sean Peyton would help this team.

I don't know how Madden won a superbowl because 99% of the time that fucker gives me an awful play call.

i want norv turner as the offensive coordinator if he gets fired from san diego.

he's an average coach at best, but a very good offensive coordinator.

he had alex smith looking like a respectable qb in 2006 when he was the 49ers offensive coordinator for a year and he's been successful as an offensive coordinator. i'm pretty confident he would work well with sanchez.

What about Cavanaugh? He actually won a SB as an OC with a run heavy team and a great defense, and he had no QB and lack of top talent WR's.

I say give give him a shot he runs the type of offense that complements MS ability and the type of offense Rex would like.

He also knows how to use his RB's, he coached Lesean Mcoy when he was with Pitt, obviously he likes to run the ball as Mcoy ended up with 1300 yards.

First, Cavanaugh deserves about as much credit as Trent Dilfer for that SB win. BTW, Billick pretty much ran the offense in those days.

Second, The Jets are nowhere near the defensive force the Ravens were that year. If they were, Sanchez and Shotty would be more than adequate to get them to the SB!
