I'm watching the same game film as everybody else. Tell me if you're impressed by this.
Tell me exactly what you don;t like about it. Is it more masterful insights like Pouha "Therefore he is slow and runs like he has doodoo in his pants" Or that Mo Wilk has "no upper body strength whatsoever" I see that tape and see a runner with a good burst in the second level, runs low on contance and is hitting the hole with speed. He also looked decent in picking up blitzes when left in to block. What exactly about him do you not like Mr. youtube?
Wilk hardly did more bench reps then some running backs. As for Powell he is just vanilla and average. In that game all of his decent runs were a product of the line (straightaway no cuts) that any running back could have followed. Yeah he can run over a small cb but he can hardly budge a linebacker, and in the NFL everyone is bigger, stronger, and faster. His first long run was lucky because of poor missed tackling that you won't see in the NFL in combination with his toughness (his one good quality). And like I said he's not particularly fast and not very elusive. What more do I need to say? I'm sure we drafted this guy to look decent when picking up blitzes.
Im not high on Powell but its hard to judge someone with a handful of carries with 9 people in the box in garbage time.
On Powell's first carry I thought it was John Connor, that is how slow he looked. Not to mention that it took until 5 minutes left in the 4th in addition to Greene coming up gimpy on that last run for him to even sniff the field. Not even the coaches are confident in him to get carries during garbage time when our rb's need rest.
Our RBs needed rest before that and our coaches are morons for not giving it to them... just sayin'...
On the other hand, there are some actresses that look great with 11 guys in the box. We should sign them! I figured this would get some insight full coments about a few carries in garbage time while we were obviously running. More great analysis.
