I'm not sure what some of you are upset about.. The jets will draft a speedy running back, deep,RB draft. Resigning Powell goes more to the idea that the jets will over pay revis, which so many of you are clamoring for. Powell is a solid player that won't break the bank. He does a little bit of everything. Yrs, nothing exceptional but you need role players on your teAm. I think it's a good signing and most likely inexpensive. Will all the hate subside if the jets sign revis? So far I'm thrilled with what there doing.. Marshall, carpenter, now they will swing for revis.. Let's see what happens.. I don't panic, I have only stated facts. We signed a Pretty bad guard and some people are trting to to dress it up as if he's good just because he's in a position of need. This Bilal Powell signing isnt shocking but hopefully it was a take it or leave it deal.

Same guys that aren't excited about Powell are probably the ones who were cursing the Jets for letting Woodhead go, and he's nowhere near as good as Powell. It's a one year deal holding onto one of the more respected guys in the locker room, who has a skillset as a 3rd down RB that you absolutely have to have.

Powell is a very solid back, who is very underrated, and wasn't used properly in the Rex Ryan era. This was a good move by the Jets. The guy can do anything you ask him to do, he can run inside and outside, he is a great pass blocker for a RB, and he is a threat in the pass game. Love the resign. People acting like this is a bad move don't pay very much attention to Powell and are likely just upset we won't be going after Spiller. It doesn't matter though, reports were indicating we weren't interested in him anyway. I'm happy with this move. Without a doubt.
