You are simply going by the stats. Yes, a loss is a loss, but we are talking about being competitive against good teams. Being competitive doesn't mean you'll win all game, or lose all games. A 34-0 drubbing is incompetent. A 23-17 loss with couple of drives being killed by tipped passes is remaining competent against a team that has really stepped up their D and O and were undefeated till last weekend. Jets are not a top notch team this year. But I still believe if we were full strength, we would have defeated the Steelers, and possibly the Texans. We've lost our best weapon on D, and our best skill player on O. Losing ur best player has a domino effect on the entire team.
