FSU was outstanding last year but there's a reason why they're only #3 in the playoff even with an unbeaten record. They've pulled so many games out of their asses and got completely lucky against some bad or average teams

Not nearly as good this year as last year. They were so dominating last year. Hell, they beat my Orangemen 59-3 last year and this year (when we're a worse team than last year) we made it a game.

Keep telling yourself that, but he won't be winning in the NFL, and there's no way in hell he'd survive the NY media. He has all the talent in the world, but eventually his issues off the field, will translate on the field. Maybe he proves me wrong, but I'd be shocked if he becomes a franchise quarterback, given his numerous issues off the field.

He's a fucking distraction off the field - it's tough to be associated with someone that could be involved in a point shaving scandal. He's got all the talent in the world but that won't matter if he keeps acting like an idiot. He ain't winning shit unless he gets his act together.

Not a fan of Jameis. Not sure how his game will translate into the NFL. No way he could get away with his on the field antics with NFL teammates. I've never seen s player so visible in his nuttiness than Winston. He's a great college player.

What do you think about the idea of taking Todd Gurley?

Aside from Winston who is a potential train wreck I can't think of a more talented player in the draft.

While most of the alternatives would better address our needs, I have to think that having a dominant dual threat runner would make life easier for everyone else on offense.

If we are serious about adding badly needed talent to this team by taking the best available player I think we could do a lot worse.

No RB in the 1st rd. Please. Get a BPA of QB,Tackle, WR, CB, S, OLB in that order

    No and yes.

Cooper is a very nice player. Not a franchise changer. There will be WRs available at the top of the 2nd round just as good.

There is no one in this draft or the next that will be as much of a franchise changer as Mariota.

If we draft a 6 foot ok WR over a franchise QB I'll lose my shit.

In the literal form of explosive diarrhea.

A few comments in response to some of inputs from this thread.
1- I wholeheartedly agree that if we draft a QB, he needs to sit behind a vet for at least a year.
2- Given that, I don't want someone that is less capable than what we have now holding the fort. Some of the names mentioned in this thread like Schaub for example would be a step backwards from Vick from my view point.
3- I think drafting Winston would be a huge mistake, particularly in the first round. If we miss on Marriota we should go stud OT, WR, OLB, or corner. If he is still there in the second then we might consider. He has way too many character issues that will translate into a disaster at the NFL level. Tallahassee and Florida state has covered up plenty of shit to keep him on the field.
4- if the Raiders are considering going on a different direction QB wise ( highly unlikely) we should jump with both feet and get Carr
We must draft a QB every freaking year till we find our gem. And when we do, we should not destroy him by putting him on the field before his time
We also need a QB coach that can really develop a winner for us. Get Chad in here already.

There are too many seafood stores in the Tri-state area for Winston to be successful here.

How about a cornerback and more saftey help?we have plenty of offensive weapons if we had a good QB that can't be an excuse anymore,Harvin,Decker,Kerley,Amaro,Ivory and even CJ,yea we could still use a big tall WR for the redzone but we need a corner way worse ,we need two corners in the worst way

He certainly has a bright future, unfortunately not in the NFL, most likely in a orange jump suit

One thing I did like about his game last night was that he can read a blitz. He made at least one very nice pass while under pressure. It looked like a set play. A lot of guys can't do that. Am example: Geno Smith.

That's what people said in 2012 and we ended up with Stephen Hill.

I don't think he's the best back in the draft. Plus, we have one of the best pure runners in the game with Ivory, just wish they'd give the guy a full workload. We definitely don't need a back in the first round. It's gotta be OL, QB, WR, or CB.

You realize Jordan Matthews was the 10th pick in the second round of last year's draft?
