Geno Atkins is the better prospect. He's one of my sleepers.

Anyone see a Jets coach at the combine? Just wondering since even the Bills have a guy on the staff...

I've seen Ryan 3 times, and I think Cavanaugh or Pettine behind him.

I don't want to start a whole new thread, espcially since I'm no draft guru, but there have been a few players that are flying under the radar that look good to me: Kerry Meier, Chastin West (though I'm sure there must be something I'm missing there, otherwise MrE would be all over him), that TE Harbor, and Shaun Lauvao. I'm not saying these are the BEST looking players at their positions, just that I think they may be better than their draft stock and in the case of Lauvao, I just think he represents great value with all the positions he can play.

Linval Joseph made himself some bank throwing up 39 reps and coming in at 6'4. People might have said he was too tall at his listed 6'6 to be a Nose, but he's looking just about right at the moment. Strong and agile, he'll be a riser.

I like Chastin West, but he didn't deserve a combine invite over Bowling Green's Freddie Barnes. I'm still pissed about that.

West was a big time receiving prospect until he tore almost everything in his knee as a junior. He's got a value as a return specialist, but he'll never be anything more than a #4 wideout.

Fresno's Seyi Ajirotutu is a much better pro prospect.

Joseph is the type of player I want on this team. He's athletic enough to play end and nose...and as long as Jenkins is on the roster, he'll be our nose tackle.

I just lost a little respect for rotoworld with this one:

    I don't understand how wearing a grill can hurt a player's stock?

Because these guys are going to invest money in them. These scouts, GMs have jobs on the line they want to keep their jobs and make the team as good as possible. Thus if they see a guy who is seemingly showing off with his fancy grill, they in turn take that to a whole new level of analyzing a players motivation, effort, intelligence, etc.

I'm not saying I agree with it, but that's how these scouts and GMs interpret it

I put "wearing a grill" on google image search and came up with the cover of Anal Acrobats 2... looks like an interesting movie :p

that said I agree with rhodesfan's opinion...

And with the first overall pick the Rams select... :p

Barnes becomes value after the mid 5th... but it happened before that guys not invited to the combine were selected well before that. Going to the combine ultimately means nothing if teams already have their eyes on you...

oh so i suddenly am reaching by saying I think hes one of the most underrated players in this years class?

for someone with such a hard on for WR's I guess your just blinded by the depth in this class.

Barnes attacks the ball at the highest point in a very textbook fashion. the fact he wasnt invited is a joke to me.

thats all im getting at, and I think someone will jump on him by the 5th round before he has any "value" in your words.

I rarely scoff at a player who singlehandedly carries his team. especially a team captain who puts everything on himself and doesnt think twice about it.
