Ogho was incredibly overrated by DWare. He was actually pretty bad this year. I think he'll end up in the fifth round, which sucks...because he may have been a second round last year. Witten really stood out...and like 624 said, he did well in coverage drills, which was an area I wanted to see him in.
Mike Mayock just called Penn State's Sean Lee a late first round talent. That's very surprising. Lee has suffered many serious injuries throughout college.
Eric Norwood weighing in at 239 is all about that 40. ...well, he just ran an unofficial 4.67, so shedding that weight helped a little bit. Norwood might fall a bit because he lacks a true position, so I could see him sliding into the middle of the third round.
I was surprised Brandon Graham ran 4.69...faster than I thought. Dexter Davis....4.56...excellent. I like Davis, but he seems to diisappear for long streches. George Selvie ran 4.89...ain't going to cut it.
I know it's early, but at this point, does it look like there's better value to go 1st round CB, 2nd round DE, or vice versa? I don't watch much college, but liked what I read about Wilson. How will the tweak affect his stock?
Mr. Electic, I just watched Weatherspoon run and then looked at some video, he really impressed me. You think there is any chance he is still available at 29? If so, would we consider taking him? I think he would be an immediate upgrade from Thomas/Ghost.
Kyle Wilson will still run at his pro-day. Not running can hurt him IF a few of the other corners have great combines. Both of the positions are really deep. It really depends on who's there at 29.
Weatherspoon will be gone by 29...but even if he was there, I don't think he'd fit into our scheme. Spoon has dominant 4-3 OLB written all over him. He'd have to play inside in our scheme, and we don't need a starter inside, just depth.
Thanks for the info. I didn't see a lot of Missouri games and wasn't too sure how his skill set would match our needs/system.
McShay said that Carlos Dunlap was very unimpressive in his interviews and showed a lot of "immaturity and lack of passion for the game."
Te'o-Nesheim is just your typical over-achiever that will go in the late rounds. He doesn't have a true position...if he lands anywhere, it may be at 4-3 end. He lacks ideal quickness and he's not that strong, and that will kill him in the NFL. I really do like his never quit attitude. The guy had a great college career, but I'm not sure if his game translates over to the pros.
