"There's nothing worse than being sold a bill of goods on the future," said Saleh, who said he believes he has a "cool" roster with enough talent to win. How about being sold a bill of goods on a head coach?
Cant wait to re evaluate this thread in earnest at season end, after a bonafide second year is complete for this young team and CS,
It's the Jets, man... We eat up coaches like piranha... At least Rex had some success before it got to him...
It's an odd response from fans to be honest. IMO For me.. It's about fucking time he takes accountability and shows some fire. Good, take receipts, do whatever you need to do. Confidence goes a long ways, I guess that Is why I was one of the few that loved Rex Ryan. Talk shit, find results... Obviously the results have to show but this Is a good step towards that. I'd be more concerned If he was constantly talking how young we are, rebuild, blah, blah, etc... It's one game, with a backup QB. We still have a long season ahead.
I'm with you. While I do think it's a dumb thing to say I'm happy he's showing some kind of fire. He hasn't taken over and changed the culture like we expected, not the fired up guy I thought he'd be but don't go quietly into the night
Shades of Rex ? >>>we Win and I'll "guarantee it" Saleh implying that when he's on that Playoff Run he can say ahaha at all SOj doubters and he knows who to laugh at? Yeah right... The only person who should be taken receipts is Gino Smith because he showed something tonight on MNF that surprised all his Jet doubters myself included
I'm on board with Coach Saleh showing passion and confidence in his team. I dont want a coach who will hide from criticism, and accept being disrespected. Glad he spoke up and I hope his players follow suit. I hope the team shows out and gets the job done. Time to back up the talk.
Jets fans are constantly frustrated at any losses, especially at the start of the season when there is hope
I think he's generally too conservative, and there aren't many times I go into the game feeling we have a coaching edge. He hasn't had a good team to coach, but overall, I haven't been that impressed. He's not on my hot seat, but I could see him getting there by the end of the year. I don't care much about the receipts comments. He clearly believes in the way they're building this team. If he's right, great. If he's wrong, we'll fire him like we've fired virtually every other coach who has been here.
Nobody is scared of Saleh and his trash talking. He better worry about looking for a new job by Thanksgiving
The honeymoon phase is over with Saleh. Doesn't matter with the Jets. They hire a defensive coach and the defense looks awful. They hire an offensive coach and the offense looks terrible. But it goes beyond that the Jets just look bad and unprepared and that shouldn't happen. You can't even say they play hard as a team. Some stand out like the safety Whitehead and Wilson and the Williams brothers look like they had some heart.
Great points Boozer! Chicago played hard Jacksonville played hard Washington played a hard game All the above were 3-7 point underdogs some against some powerhouse teams And the Jets??? excuses and receipts feh feh feh
I'd almost expect a story like this in the week before Black Monday 2024. Doing this now looks pretty desperate, not passionate. Get your own house in order and there's no need to take any receipts. Results are totally in his control.
